  1. So still zero progress in the Springfield area. Luckily I have a work phone from VZ so I don't have to rely on Sprint during the day time. But on the weekends and after 5 I get spotty or no 4g,crap 3g and spotty voice coverage. It is looking more and more like I will be making a switch soon. I just can't see how the other 3 major cell companies as well as metro can bring LTE online in such a quick fashion and Sprint seems to take years to just do anything. I don't think Sprint is very pro active with anything, very reactive after the fact and always playing catch up. Hopefully by November when my contract is up i'll see some improvement.
  2. I am in the Springfield Area, Springfield itself only has LTE in the downtown area but the western suburbs have more LTE. It is pretty spotty though and there has been zero expansion in coverage since it went online about 5 months ago.
  3. I still have the eerie feeling that tis will be just like the Wimax rollout. Kind of sort of implemented and a lot of customers left in the lurch. It seems really strange to start an area and then leave it half completed or a quarter completed and then move somewhere else. If the spottiness doesn't improve by September I think I will have to move over to the V.
  4. So has Sprint run out of money or just stopped the upgrading and this is the extent of it. While I have a LTE signal in my town it is weak and not very consistent. It has been the same since I bought my S3 back in December and nothing as changed. I live in West Springfield and have LTE mostly all over town, Springfield has it in the downtown area but I haven't picked it up anywhere else in the city. Agawam has it over most of the town as well as the south eastern parts of Westfield. But like I said nothing has changed in coverage for the past 4 months and I am beginning to think that this is as good as it is going to get. I hope I am wrong and someone can enlighten me on if they are done or not. BTW the 3g is still horrendous to the point of unusable.
  5. My speeds are always backwards 2-4 Mbps down and 12 -14 up. Would love it if they would just flip. I am in Western Mass btw in West Springfield. Once I get east of Springfield in the towns between Spfld and Worcestor it is slow as hell 3g and zero LTE. I can use LTE on the pike west almost all the way into Lee. And if I go into CT is back to abysmal 3g and zero LTE.
  6. I was in Cromwell yesterday for the Football games and the service was horrible. The 3g is usually pretty good in the area but yesterday it was not usable. Don't know if it had anything to do with NV but it was not the norm. Also if you went into any building you automatically went into roaming. All 3 of the people with me that had Sprint had the same issue, 2 of us with s3's and one with Evo LTE. We Were at Chicago Sams right off rt9 and I91 so it's not like we were in the boonies.
  7. Ok so in the past 2 days I went from a pretty strong LTE signal in West Springfield to now just 3g. I have toggled airplane mode and nothing. The 3g is still pretty good but what happened to my LTE. Although it was nowhere as strong as Verizon it was still much faster than 3g. And why do I need to constantly have to toggle airplane mode when going from wifi to cellular to pick up LTE.
  8. I have yet to hit an area with the blazing speeds that others report. this area has not officially launched yet so I am hoping that it is still in the testing phase. would love to consistently pull 10 down and 3 up.
  9. So just a quick question, I pick up a 4g signal all over West Springfield ,Agawam ,Westfield ,most of Holyoke and downtown Springfield as well as the hungry hill neighborhood and east springfield neighborhood. But my speeds are nowhere close to what I see being reported for other areas. I am barely getting 10Mb down and 2 up, averaging 1.5 down .9 up. Speed test says LTE but is this for real, my brother gets these speeds on VZ 3g.My 3g has improved greatly to the point of matching the supposed LTE. Is the best I can expect or is this still in the testing phase.
  10. I am getting a good LTE signal all over West Springfield from the Holyoke Mall area to the rt5 interstate 91 merge all the way into CT. From the Westfield line into Downtown Springfield (I haven't gone into Springfield past downtown in a few days). Also I get a consistent LTE signal in Agawam from the West Springfield line all the way up rt 159 and it continues about 1 mile into Suffield CT. Maybe this weekend I'll try to see what I can get east of the Connecticut river on the East side of Springfield towards Wilbraham ,Palmer and Ludlow. But from the looks of it the lower pioneer valley is pretty well covered with LTE right now.
  11. Any one picking up any LTE in the lower pioneer valley(Springfield metro). I am looking at getting either the Note 2,S3 or the iphone 5 and was wondering if i would get any 4g.
