  1. In my bedroom I have NEVER had signal. Even though this isn't the best signal in the area, I am thrilled. Thanks 6+! Sent from my shiny new iPhone 6+ using Tapatalk
  2. I just got my 6+ this afternoon. Haven't hit B41 yet but haven't been in an area rated as such yet either. But I AM happy to report that I'm getting LTE in areas where I was lucky to get 1x on my 5 so now my phone is usable at home without wifi if I want, bonus. Speeds aren't phenomenal in my neighborhood (but much better than it was before) but I haven't really been out in the world to test other areas yet, that'll come tomorrow. 3. I tend to agree with you; however it is quite frustrating when one preorders because the whole idea of a preorder is to get the unit before it's available to the general public. If it hasn't shipped and you want one sooner, I'm finding they have them at best buy and target (as well as the Apple Store). Sent from my gracefully aging iPad 2 with iOS 8.0 using Tapatalk
  4. I've read the same, but Apple has pulled 8.0.1 from the OTA updates at the moment to fix the problem so I'm not even worrying about the update for the time being. When they re-release it I'll watch for comments on macrumors first Sent from my iPhone 5 running iOS 8.0 while impatiently waiting for my 6+ using Tapatalk
  5. I guess the moral of the story here is to not put your phone in your pocket and sit on it unless you have it in a sturdy case, and to wait for reviews for iOS updates first. I still haven't gotten my 6+ (waiting on the metaphorical 'slow boat from China' as we speak) but I'm glad I didn't attempt 8.0.1 on my 5. 6. Wow, i am looking forward to this phone even more. I have a 5 that doesn't even get B26 so as you can imagine my current LTE is spotty at best. I'm hoping that the significantly better radio in the 6/6+ will resolve the issue - based on Sensorly I should have excellent signal here. 7. My understanding is that they will unlock for international use but don't for domestic use. Models introduced after February 2015 should be able to be fully unlocked for domestic use but as of right now I don't think they'll do a domestic unlock. Something about not having the ability to unlock the cdma radio or something, I'd have to look it up again. Sent from my iPhone 5 running iOS 8.0 while impatiently waiting for my 6+ using Tapatalk
  8. So nice! Wish my 6+ would show up already, heh. (Ordered on Tuesday 9/16) Sent from my gracefully aging iPad 2 with iOS 8.0 using Tapatalk
  9. If you live close to an Apple Store, I suggest trying for a pickup reservation at apple.com -- you could get one tomorrow or Monday if you time it out right. If not, well, the stores apparently don't have pluses in stock yet, dunno when they will. I've heard reports of shipments being sent up to the 13th so far. The sooner you order, the sooner you'll get it but from what I'm hearing the 4-6 weeks thing is extreme highballing. I ordered mine on the 16th and am hoping to hear something next week. We'll see. 10. Same boat. I've heard that the wait times quoted at Sprint and by Sprint Customer Care are way high balled and we should expect them in the next 5-7 days but I don't know how reputable that information is. Sent from my gracefully aging iPad 2 with iOS 8.0 using Tapatalk
  11. Go to Settings > About, scroll down to Carrier and tap that. It'll show your current PRL Updating the PRL can be done by dialing ##873283# (##UPDATE#) and then hitting call. ***edit: heh, this didn't answer the question at hand. My bad.*** Sent from my gracefully aging iPad 2 with iOS 8.0 using Tapatalk
  12. I wonder if the wifi calling comment was talking about Continuity in iOS 8. My iPad displays missed calls for me now when both my phone and iPad are connected to the same wifi and apparently it's supposed to allow people to accept calls on their other devices. It isn't true wifi calling though - it uses wifi to connect to your phone, then uses the mobile to connect to the towers. Sent from my gracefully aging iPad 2 with iOS 8.0 using Tapatalk
