  1. So I no longer use the OEM charger since it started charging my phone at a low amperage, less than 500mA. And I'm not sure if this was the root cause but my battery life was terrible. I eventually started to use my HP touchpad charger which actually charges it at 1.5A and my battery life improved. I've been using current widget for the past 6 months and it seems to fairly accurate. I'm thinking that it could just be the jack on my phone that might be slightly damaged since the USB cable was once yanked out due to someone tripping over the cable.

  2. Has anyone else had the problem of having to unplug and plug back in your charger just to to be able to charge at the correct amperage? I use current widget to monitor the amps while charging and initially when I plug in my charger it's below 500mA but after several replugs it goes up to 1A or higher. I do understand that it may not be accurate, but it seems to match up against how long my phone reports it should take to charge.

  3. Not sure what else you could do then. Doing a factory reset seems really unnecessary. Did you go to saved networks to see if your network still appears there and if so removing it? The only odd things I've seen with 5.1 is my phone will get stick in landscape mode or play music simply just won't work.

  4. Anyone noticing random 4G outages? For the past couple weeks I will randomly lose any LTE signal B25, B26, and B41 and get dropped down to 3G. I'm currently stuck on CDMArevA when 20 minutes ago I had B41. Hoping my phone isn't messing up :/

I've noticed the same thing but it varies from day to day. It's really annoying and it drains my battery like crazy. I first noticed a few months ago where for a few days I had no b41 at all at home. It still occasionally happens and at work as well. Hopefully it's just the towers being optimized.
  5. I have had that happen to me before, but only once or twice. A reboot fixed that issue for me. Hasn't happened in a while for me. I wish you the best of luck because I know how annoying it was for me.

I actually reboot my phone every now and then. Surprisingly it started to work again without a reboot.
  6. Well Sprint really messed up my coverage because I am only B25 for the least six weeks or so and I used to be locked on B41 which was faster in terms of bandwith and pings and better energy efficiency.

You should check with other users in your area to see if they are experiencing the same issues you are. It could be that your area could be experiencing issues or they are tuning the towers. I myself have noticed that I drop to b25 a lot more than I have in the past.
  7. I have a sprint sim and I can still enter the menus but when you want to edit something you need to enter your msl. Which is really annoying considering I brought my own phone that I bought from the play store. When I was on t-mobile I never ran into an issue like this.

  8. For me lollipop is basically unusable on the nexus 5. It lags like crazy! I suspect it is related to available RAM. My nexus 6 is giving me such a headache that I wish I could go to the nexus 5 but its like trading one devil for another. I probably will go back to the nexus 5 and put KitKat back on it. I wish google were more prompt with addressing issues... Releasing bug fixes for problems that create serious headaches as soon as possible. As of now... I'm frustrated, angry, and sad about the whole Nexus experience with lollipop. Maybe I should just switch to a non nexus phone.

I have no experience with the nexus 6 but I do see the same lag issue you described on the 5. Both my wife's and my nexus also experience apps frequently crashing. I'm trying to avoid a system restore but it may come to that.
  9. I'm going to try reinstalling the stock firmware. Today I woke up and the battery was dead, it was around 60% when I went to sleep. I charged it this morning and went shopping and it drained about 20% in an hour with about one minute of screen time. If this keeps up I'll have to go back to kit kat.

Let us know how that goes. My phone drained 20% in 2 hours and I wasn't even using it. This phone's battery life has been so frustrating.
