  1. i know tmo is def on it, huge sign on one of the dog houses has all the info in case of emergency for tmo, but no other identifiers for any other carriers, only other info is that its owned by crown castle.

side note, i did a search on antennasearch.com and it doesnt even show a tower for that address.  Closest Sprint tower from that search about a mile away owned by crown castle as well

    Alcatel-Lucent RRU's circled in red.

so that is all NV hardware and not legacy?  it def cannot be broadcasting yet, unless the backhaul isnt completed.  Is there anyway i can give someone here the address or ID of the tower to find out the NV status, just curious

  3. Alcatel Lucent NV gear top rack.

    Sent from my SPH-D710

are you sure, cause if so they must not be broadcasting yet.  I was in the library 50 yards from the tower and kept bounceing from 3G to o could not load a webpage or send a text until i went outside.  I know PCS band has band building penetration but cant be that bad right??

  4. Can you get a better shot of the bottom of the antennas?  If you see 6 cables it is probably Sprint, if you see 4 cables, its probably at&t

i will go back today that was a quick shot.  I can get pretty close since our Fire Dept Antennas are on that tower

  5. where do you live at in central new jersey my service has gotten progressively worse...

im in and around middlesex and somerset counties.  Was in bridgewater on 202 the other day inside a store where i usually cant even get a webpage to load and when i run a speedtest inside its around .07mbps down.  Internet is useless, but the other day i was there and hit my email and it opened instantly.  I ran three speedtests and they were 1.05/.80,,1.88/.76,,1.67/.79.  Amazing for inside that store or in that area at all.

  6. Didnt digiblur say that all Android phones have 800 and 1900 with the same priority which would indicate the behavior you mention BUT that iphones do not have 800 and 1900 in the same priority and that they actually prioritize 1900 over 800 which means that even if they acquire a good signal on 800 they will always be searching for a 1900 to switch to?

Just confirming what I thought to be the case.

this is what i thought i read and why i was asking.  in the same post i thought i remembered reading that there was some issue with the 800 and that Sprint changed the iphone PRL to prioritize 1900.

  7. kinda on topic..will the iphone5 PRL remain as it is after IDEN is shut down and 800smr is active every where or will they change it so the iphone 5 will if not prioritize 800 have it be equal so that if u have a good 800 signal the iphone wont still continue to search for a 1900.  I have no problem nor do i care if my phone uses 1900 or 800 if both signals are strong, Sprint has always had great call quality, but i dont want my phone to lose 1900 grab 800 but burn my battery constantly searching to go back to 800.

    Thoughts???

  8. Also, what in the world happened in here while I was gone? Are we still arguing who copied who? I'm a power user who likes to do things like chroot in to (full) Linux and compile code when I'm away from my home desktop, and I love Android's ROM development community, so the iPhone isn't for me. I still recommend them to most customers who ask. Apple makes a quality product. Their OS is very intuitive. Apple's customer service is stellar. They also do some of the best phone refurbishing/reconditioning I've seen. And Applecare covers things above and beyond other warranties, even if you didn't purchase it. No Android-producing company can claim all that. So, my point is - quit bashin' things you don't like. Celebrate the things that you do.

    Right on brotha!

  9. does this really have to turn into an IOS vs Android??  I ve had both and just recently switched to Iphone5, at this point in the game is there really a whole lot different or new that is gonna come out and shock us.  Both platforms are becoming more similar by the update IMO.  On an opinion note, one little thing that bugs me.. the dots for signal strength,,,weird gonna take some getting used to LOL

  10. i havent seen any LTE, but i have noticed faster 3G speeds on certain towers, and not sure if its my imagination or not but i seem to have a much steadier signal everywhere.

on another note, now that i look i have noticed that where i have been getting 4-5 bars it will drop to 1-2 bars like the tower im usually on was taken off line or something, not sure if its the beginning of NV in my area, HOPE SO!

  11. watching the NV acceptance forums the coverage should be much better by mid august, everytime they are updated orlando market in accepting 10-15 or more site, some LTE, 3G.  Either way almost two and a hlaf months should get a lot of work completed, barring back to back to back etc Hurricanes.
