  1. my Nexus 5 will randomly just drop the mobile connection entirely.  it can take up to 30 seconds for it to come back.  is this common for areas where there are triband issues or does everyone experience this in all markets?  this happens when i am stationary at home with a solid airave signal and when i am out and about driving.  see screenshot...

This has been happening to me as well.  I have been searching, but could not find an answer if this was a known issue or fixed.  I am in the northeast so LTE/Ecsfb is not an issue for me.

  2. my Nex5 32gb black will NOT send/receive texts when my latest generation Airave is enabled.  if i unplug the airave, they work fine.  can someone with the newest Airave report back regarding texts in/out not through google voice please?

I have the newest airave.  I dont have the N5 yet, but on my gnex text works on gvoice and hangouts.  The newest airave now has 3g data, so it should work.

  3. Picked up a SIM at the corporate store in Burlington a couple of hours ago. They knew exactly what was needed and seemed like they had plenty.

I just left the Burlington store a few minutes ago.  Display N5 was not activated.  I was hoping to check it out before mine arrived in a couple of weeks.

  4. Did anyone else finally get their shipping date updated this morning? I ordered mine on the 1st and it said 2-3 weeks now it says shipping November 22nd which obviously sucks since that date is exactly three weeks from my order date.

I am in the same boat.  Went from 2-3 weeks to 11/22.

  5. Funny you should say that I removed my plastic case and BAM LTE popped in I'll test it on my drive later. Could just have been an awesome coincidence.

I know this isnt an accessory thread, but I would be curious what case you are using.  Maybe we will start to see a pattern.

  6. Not sure if it is 1 or 2 but it is full integration. I only have 1 number, my sprint number is my google voice number.

I no longer use the google voice app, hangouts for SMS & MMS and have the voicemail integrated into the stock dialer.

I still use the gvoice app to text from my tablets/computer though and no MMS there obviously.

I like using the GVoice app for voicemail since it has voice to text and I can read a voicemail.  Does the N5 translate voicemails to text?

  7. Anyone using hangouts with their Google voice number/sprint integration? Is it possible to send mms using gv number?

I am on my GNEX right now (till the N5 arrives).  Works fine.  I use Gvoice for voicemail and Hangouts for SMS/MMS and Chat.  If I respond to a text using google voice on my pc, it will show up in both places on the phone.  But to answer your questions it works.

  8. Yeah I tried that but I'm thinking that it must be related to the Google Voice Sprintegration.  What's a SCRTN and how do I do it?

Try going into the google voice app and change the setting for text from google voice to messaging app.  This is what I had to do on my GNEX to get it to work in hangouts.  I also do have the google voice/sprint integration.

  9. Thanx.  I will have a new SIM for the phone, so I can make sure all the numbers match Sprint.

I'm in Boston - no more issues.  Everything works fine.  There was only one issue, which was 32GB black nexus 5's not having their MEID loaded into sprint, which sprint promptly fixed.

    Do two things -

    1) Make sure that the ICCID on your SIM matches the ICCID listed under www.sprint.com/activate (start to activate a new phone and it will list the MEID and ICCID - make sure those match your phone).

    2) Update profile (Settings, Wireless & networks More..., Mobile networks, Carrier settings, Update Profile)

Anyone that is having LTE issues needs to make sure the proper MEID and ICCIDs are registered on Sprints end by checking what sprint has registered on their sprint account under "activate new phone" and needs to update their profile once they have confirmed the MEID and ICCID are correct.

  10. I am up in Boston, but this does answer my question.  I am still waiting 2-3 weeks for my N5 and was curious how many are having problems, and if there was a pattern.  Sero, Engineering screen, etc.

I received and activated my Nexus 5, 32 GB version last night and LTE fortunately has been performing great, much better than my old phone which was a EVO LTE. I didn't do anything special.I am in the DC area if that helps

  11. I will see if i can. I can say that the hard plastic "bumper" is not the greatest feeling. I have a Diztronic case on the Evo LTE and its quite different going to a hard case.

I have the diztronic on my Galaxy nexus now, but was thinking of getting a more secure case.

  12. Would you mind sharing pics of your phone in the case?  I am debating between the 2 you are talking about.

Ive had the device activated since 6pm yesterday. Initial thoughts:

    • Very solid feeling device, and very light
    • Screen is pretty nice, i like the increased resolution vs my Evo LTE
    • Battery goes in 5% intervals, which makes it feel like it drains faster
    • I made a phone call and it was EXTREMELY clear, best sounding call ive ever had on Sprint
    • I can confirm the device will not connect to LTE
    • Kitkat is very fast, and the device is much faster than my Evo LTE. going back to the Evo feels like Slo-Mo
    • I need to find a different case, i have the Spigen Neo-Hybrid and it is way to bulky, i will probably pick up a Diztronic case

  13. Will do.. congrats! I'm getting married later this month myself, but I'm not going to let a minor detail like being completely broke keep me away from the Garden! ;)

    -Mike

Unless there have been updates done in the area since the stanley cup, sprint service in the garden is touch and go.  Depending on where your seats are no 4g at all.  3g service sometimes works and sometimes seems bogged down from congestion.
