Which section of Waltham? I got LTE from 128 down trapelo about halfway to Lexington St, the other day.
Starting to get great 3G speeds in Waltham and LTE pops up from time to time looks like Sprint got that permit from City Hall THANKGOD
-
I hope network vision will help with cell coverage in the Garden. Data speeds are horrible once I get inside.
-
I would imagine work on the towers will be slowed these next few weeks, while sprint tries to fix damaged towers. I am really hoping we get LTE in Burlington sometime soon.

Also as of monday i went from DL speeds on 3G at .15 to DL speed of 1.35 or higher
A city counselor in waltham said sachem st and turner st were rejected due to sprint not showing up at the meetings. I wonder if sprint is going ahead with the work regardless.
-
Waltham city hall had granted one of the two permits the one on 39 sachem street was granted last night. here's the link
I thought Sachem st was already up and running. I wonder why they would approve it after it is up.

I decided to take a ride to a tower in Waltham saw people working and i asked one of them if the tower would be serving out LTE soon and they told me about 2-3 months because City hall rejected the permit im furious
Which tower? I heard it was rejected cause no representatives from sprint or the tower company were present at the meeting.
-
Is LTE back up in other locations?
-
Nice I wish I could I don't know why city hall would reject the other one tho
I thought I heard, sprint didn't show up for the meeting so they decided to reject it.
I was also able to map some LTE coverage along the pike near 495 yesterday. It's on sensorly now.

Picked up 4G LTE in Watertown,MA very fast 31.32DL 12.23UL Ping 34 Mbps
Whereabouts in watertown?
-
Your device does not need to be connected to eHRPD in order for it to discover LTE. It will scan on its own if it is in CDMA/LTE mode.
However, EVO LTEs often have to force scan by cycling through airplane mode to pick up LTE.

I have the galaxy nexus. Ok good know on connecting to LTE.

I have searched but could not find the answer. If I have my phone set to LTE/CDMA and it is currently is registering evdo rev a:6 will it connect to LTE if I come upon a tower that hits it. It seems I have to toggle my phone sometimes to get it to see ehrpd, but I am not sure if I really need to do this.
-
Does anyone know when the towers are switched to discoverable? would it be 12:01am tomorrow, or just at some point during the day?
-
I noticed 4g on the leverett connector in Boston and near Harvard university. I was driving so no speed tests.
-
I'll know for sure when LTE gets lit up next week.
-
I have searched all over to no avail. What is the difference between ehrpd:13 and ehrpd:14? I noticed this when I upgraded my galaxy nexus to jelly bean. My phone is stock.
-
On a side note, I know sprint has stated they have already increased 3g coverage and speeds, but I have not seen any change. Anyone see any improvements?

Did the signal last for a long distance?
4g in Allston/Brighton. I'm guessing the tower i found is by 95 Everett street location. I forgot to take a screen shot/forgot how to on jelly bean builds. Did 2 speed tests, 24 and 12 download and 6 and 6 upload.
-
While driving around today I noticed strong lte service in Nashua NH by the pheasant lane mall. I was driving so I couldn't get a speed test.
-
It may have lasted longer. I was stopped at the light and that was the last place I checked before I hit Burlington. I was just happy to finally see 4g on my phone.
^I assume you're talking about the Cumberland Farms at rt 129. I'm surprised the signal stopped at the commuter rail station, since the tower is south of there. If the tower has so little downtilt that you can't get a signal within a .5 mile radius, I would hope that the signal would at least propegate further than that.
-
I was in Wilmington today on rt 38 and from the commuter rail station to the cumby's I got 4g. If I stayed in one spot too long it would cut off and return to 3g. Speed test showed 8mb up and 7mb down on average. When I would get a 4g singal, i would have full bars, when it went down to 3g I would only get 2 bars.
Hopefully this is a sign of launch coming soon.

I got some more LTE greatness near Bentley university and that end of Trapelo road (off of Forrest St.). I am trying to upload to Sensorly as we speak.
