  1. They are supposed to be expanding to a single 10x10 or possibly a 15x15 b25 carrier in the Quad City area in the coming months... So at least we have something to look forward to
  2. My first connection to second carrier b25 in the Quad Cities... content://media/external/file/6986
  3. Iwireless here in the QC is a mixed bag...I know a lot of people who has or had them and most of those people have switched to Boost Mobile. I know things got real rough when they were upgrading their network to LTE. As of now I'm not sure of their service here now that their upgrades should be complete in the area
  4. Yeah I knew it was SpeedConnect, I just got done reading an article about Lightsquared and had a blond moment...anyhow, with a 15x15 block of band 25, would that boost speeds as well as capacity or just add capacity?
  5. That's great news, thank you! Now all we need is to get Lighsquared on board for a swap of BRS and EBS spectrum so we can get at least a 20 MHz of band 41 and life would be peachy in these parts I recon...
  6. So if I'm reading this right and remember correctly, the Quad Cities has 30 Mhz of spectrum in the B block. After the swap with AT&T, assuming AT&T has the whole C block, Sprint will have a contiguous block of C and G blocks totaling 40 MHz to play with?
  7. You sir, just made my night! I should be back working by next week, donations to the site to follow son after. I miss having access to sponsor information, thanks for the info in the meantime!!!
  8. Can't wait to see this report that you guys speak of. I imagine it's gonna be some spectrum swapping going on, will this also apply the Quad City area as well?
  9. I remember iPCS used to be the affiliate here in the Quad Cities as well. My question is, did we lose any spectrum here through that mess?
  10. I wasn't aware of a second carrier on band 25 in the area. Are they 5x5 or 10x10 blocks? Also, would any tri-band phone be able to pick up the additional carrier?
  11. If this were to happen. Hypothetically, how long of a process would that be given both parties where willing to do it?
  12. Oh okay... Well thanks for the clarification. I got excited for a second, we could definitely use some more bandwidth here.
  13. Sorry, I'm using my phone to type this. Excuse any craziness that comes out when I type.
  14. I am aware of Speedconnect in the QC area, but if I remember correctly Clear had a large chunk of Davenport, IA and at least parts of downtown Rock Island, IL on there coverage map offering service before they were bought out by Sprint. I live not to far from downtown Rock Island, so I was thinking maybe I was picking up a tower from downtown Davenport. (I have no idea of any former Clear tower placement)
  15. Looking at the DL channel values they are on par with what has already been reported for band 41. I got two different ones. While the UL channels are the same as I usually get while on band 25. Could be nothing, but it's definitely giving me a glimmer of hope for February when they flip the switch off WiMax!!!
  16. This was actual the second night in a row that I seen this. The night before it happened so quick I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me so I didn't have time to screen shot. It usually happy as my phone switched from 3g to 4g. It would go from band 26 for a slot second then hit band 41. On this occasion, it sat parked for several minutes...
  17. Look what I ran across late last night/early this morning in Rock Island, IL!!! Some good ol band 41! Of course, it's not live but it's definitely some tinkering going on in the wee hours of the morning!!!
