I've seen 15x15 band 25 in places in Davenport and Moline where there is no band 41 coverage as well

Bunch of juicy details about the QC in the Premier Thread ?
All my money is tied up right now, I'm in the process of moving... Once I get settled into my new place, I will make a donation to become a sponsor. Anything you can tell me in the meantime, with out violating board rules, would be great!!!

Done and done... Speed test ran and I'm a happy camper!!! Sprint must have did a spectrum swap with SpeedConnect??!!

Found B41 in Davenport, IA... As soon as I can find out how to post a screenshot I will post to see if this is legit!

Just to update in the Quad cities area, at least on the Illinois side, most if not all sites are now 10x10 that I have came across.

Yeah I found a few 10x10 sites that went live Wednesday. I was just saying I haven't seen any new activity since then.

Nope nothing new in the QC as far as I know. Haven't really had a chance to go Dora the Explorer tho... will keep you guys updated if I see anything tho

Yeah same here. I just happened to check my engineering screen, that was my first sighting. I found that in uptown Moline, downtown still is a 5x5 by the iWireless center. But that's still an improvement because it was 3g only up until a month or so ago.

That is not a 10x10 yet.
Â
26615 is 1907.5 center frequency so it's a 5mhz carrier from 1905-1910 MHz.
Â
A 10 MHz carrier will usually be centered on 1910 MHz on Sprint for C+G.

So what channel should I be looking for then?

What does this mean for those (me) who aren't engineers?
Â
Lol... I'm far from an engineer myself. But basically the spectrum swap with AT&T has been/is being completing and the EVDO channels have moved to the C block and we have a 10x10??? carrier now live in the Quad Cities
-
-
I think they're still working the kinks out because now I'm back on the original DL/UL channels... Unless they're keeping the original 5x5 and replacing the second carrier with this new 10x10. (Wishful thinking on my end)
-
My 1X channel didn't show but my EVDO channel was 650.
-
-
No b41... No 10×10 yet.... But in the QC we do have a second 5×5 carrier that's live
-
So that still doesn't necessarily rule out a 10×10 second carrier in addition to the original 5×5...(wishful thinking)
-
Equipment is not capable of 15x15/20x20.
Â
Hardware wise it is. Software wise it's not. Need to run through FCC certifications again.

Oh okay, didn't know that. So when the time comes and they get cleared through the FCC, it would only take a software update to be able to expand carriers?
-
They probably wouldn't do a second carrier if they have contiguous spectrum, rather they would just expand the original carrier to 10x10 or even better a 15x15 carrier.
Well hopefully the latter, peak speeds of ~105 sounds good to me!
-
Sprint has been heavily trimming CDMA carriers in favor of LTE, even in markets with limited spectrum. Omaha and Minneapolis have the same situation going on.
So in the QC with our 40 MHz of contiguous spectrum (C+G after swap with AT&T) is it possible we could see a single 15×15 or maybe a 10×10 second carrier along with the original 5×5 since they are trimming CDMA carriers?

Figured that... Does anyone of the big four actual use/plan to use band 44? Just curious

So what does this mean for Boost Mobile customers? How soon, if and when, should I expect to be able to access any "New T-Mobile" bands? 🤔
