At around 530 this morning leaving UT heading to Chattanooga I got 4g from the Alcoa exit to the 640 split and I've been told the tower in corryton that was marked in progress is complete my brother in law got 4g last night around 1130pm

Drove through downtown, wasn't able to get a connection .Anyone else have this problem? I am hoping Sprint is blocking my phone and that there is nothing wrong with mine.

I dove down there Friday and didn't get anything myself but I did see it was mapped in sensorly not sure what's going on with it unless it was a test and not ready yet

Someone mapped the interstate in downtown knoxville but I didn't grab anything even running lte discovery I did however briefly grab it near the woodland exit but I didn't have sensorly running. I'll check again throughout the weekend. On a side note there was a crew working on the tower again on hutchinson ave but I was in a hurry and didn't get to ask if the we're doing lte improvements.

I added alot of interstate 75 around chatty today in sensorly . There are some towers I'm picking up that were not live Monday.

Grabbed 4g just off the exit in Ooltewah exit 11 of I75 this morning stopping for breakfast it's showing on Sensorly but I didn't have time to go down any farther to see where it went. Lost it right before I got back on the interstate.

Not sure if sprint but there was 10 white trucks parked at the hutchinson ave cell tower lots guys standing around and inside the fence have no clue what was happening but I'm hoping to it has something to do with sprint never seen so many people at one though. Had no time was coming back from lunch.

If there was a white trailer on the right side and the trucks had a black flat bed in them then no its not sprint that is a construction company doing tower mods to hold extra coax on the tower.

Yeah you were lol I just sent the tower on the completed nv map I'll see if I can grab some more from that area tomorrow. It takes about an hour for it to show in sensorly and if it's a small area you sometimes have to zoom in close.

Tower on Wrights Ferry Rd near Topside and Pellissippi is up and running LTE. Speedtest'ed at 17M when I drove by it on my way home. Not a ton of coverage, but nice to see one so close to Knoxville finally.

 

I started up Sensorly and started a trip when I pulled onto Alcoa Hwy from John Sevier. Cut it off after I lost 4G. I took Old Topside so I'm not sure if the signal actually reaches Topside yet. The info isn't showing up on Sensorly so either I did it wrong, or it'll show up sometime soon.

 

I'll be on Topside Monday and will run Sensorly again.

Did you happen to grab it in sensorly?

My s3 switches between rev a and ehrpd all the time here in Knoxville. But it has been for awhile ever since ehrpd starting showing up.

Mine has been good about holding ehrpd around town just noticed that I can't seem to hold it at all this morning.

Picked up lte at I75 exit 20 McDonald TN at the pilot for a few mins this morning. I also noticed that all of knoxville this morning seems to not be holding ephrd today and keeps dropping back to evdo rev a. I didn't get to sensorly to map it this morning I'll try again Thurs morning.

Sorry it's been a while guys. Knoxville has had nothing lately to report. All the towers I've been watching seem to be at a halt. I did pickup 4g at the Clyde exit in NC this morning but other then that I've seen nothing new lately. I'm gonna try and make a trip to Cleveland tomorrow on my way back to Chattanooga and see if I can get a signal from that new tower they finished there.

There are not many GMO sites in the Nashville market. I think all site in the Knoxville area are full build sites. AT&T also uses Ericsson, and has the same RRU's and base station cabinets.

After reading the GMO post from today i'm a little worried that some of the sites in Knoxville will have this option. Looking at this picture of the Ericsson GMO picture I've seen some sites around town that have the same type of grating used to hold the GMO RUUs laying on the ground not put together yet.

 

I am just wondering where you are noticing LTE in Chattanooga, please.

It's around McCallie Ave and just north of there. And you can sometimes pick it up just past Germantown Rd on 24W

I grabbed 4g on McCallie Ave in Chattanooga this morning but not sure what going on with it. Once min I was connected the next u wasn't and some of the places already mapped I couldn't get a signal even using LTE Discovery. When I was connected the speed test was horrible I was lucky to get 1mbps at times and 3g was faster. I'll be back down there tomorrow and Thursday and see if things change this week. It's already on sensorly if you wanna check it out.

Awesome man I will map after 5 its only showing on 40 nut Iwill spend 30 minutes ior so driving the closet main roads off it and see what we get. Do you know how fast sensory updates the msps just wondering

My last experience in that area was about 1 and a half miles past 407 so you might have more luck if they have turned on other towers. And for the updates in sensorly I've had it update within an hour before but mileage may vary.

I picked up a signal there on Feb 1st coming west bound but going back up east bound nothing on the 3rd I couldn't pick it up west bound either so they must have turned it back on. Let me know if you have luck going east bound. I didn't get to map it that day because sensorly refused to map a trip for me. I've got that worked out now lol.

Actually JuAnM269 was the one who spoke with the crew, but I don't mind taking the award on his behalf since he is out stalking the Ericsson crew.

I feel like that sometimes lol I keep waiting on the restraining order. Speaking of the crew I caught the Ericsson crews at two different locations this morning. One was in his truck at Hutchison Ave and the other was at the Washington Pike down the road from the first. Also passed 2 trucks on I40 in West Knoxville this morning and was half tempted to follow them to see where they were heading. On a different note I've been noticing since the latest prl update my phone has been dropping 3g eHRPD to 1xRTT and Evdo Rev A and signal strength around town seems to be jumping all over the place not sure if it's from the prl or the tower work around town.

I got phantom LTE signals the other day driving through there, hope you get better results.

No luck towards Newport but I did pick up 4g coming back 1 mile from the 81 40 split and at mile marker 411 to almost 408 I tried to get a mapping on sensorly but before the 81 split it quit mapping for some odd reason and I couldn't restart the mapping. I uninstalled it and redownloaded it so next week in my trip up that way I should be able to get a mapping unless you beat me to it. Also on a different note the new update for the evo grabbed that connection at the Dandridge exit with no problems this morning and held it till the split on my way up.
