  1. I read through that a little while ago. Did you set up your own MVNO or something?

I am exploring my options, But I solely want to focus on data products and Sprint Wholesale is not really geared towards that build out which is why I have added T-Mobile to my list of possibilities and I am trying some unlimited data products on both carriers. We will see who wins this MVNO consideration. I like the Sprint build out so far, really great to capture all those CLEAR customers that will be left in the dark in the next 6 months when WiMax goes lights off.

  2. I am not sure where you are seeing that stat, but it is likely band 1 IMT 1900+2100 MHz, which is not available in US spectrum allocation.

Interesting, okay thanks for the correct on that. I saw 1900/2100 so I might have been wrong

  3. Aren't unlimited Sprint hotspot plans limited to corporate liable accounts with a credit union?

Not only CL accounts that are credit union accounts qualify. There are many programs available, I am currently helping my employees and contractors get service. see contractors.4gantennashop.com

  4. It looks nice, it's too bad it will be an AT&T exclusive. I've been pretty happy with my Livepro, I was looking forward to seeing a newer version of it available. I don't see it mentioned, but it seems like the power bank is missing from the original. I use that feature on my Livepro a lot, it would be a shame if they got rid of it.

It looks like it is HPSA+ 1900/2100 as well which is great I can use this with my unlimited 4G data plan on the T-Mobile network for only 79.99 monthly. :)

  5. That plan is useless at that price.. I will give you a free Sierra Tri-Fi LTE hotspot for Band 25 LTE and an unlimited NON Spark 4G plan for the cost of less than what they want to charge you for there device per month. Way over priced for 3G service.

  6. How did you get it to work with the Surf SOHO? I tried to tether via USB and it wouldn't connect. Tried WiFi as WAN, and it worked but there was too much interference so data was flaky.

    Hey Jason,

Hope all is well this is Robert from the 4G Antenna Shop, there is no need to get any sort of repeaters routers or bridges as the Netgear 6100D will now work on the plan you have through us. Just an FYI :)

  7. Spectacular! I wonder if a parabolic may work with a network extender? I have the Wilson sleek 4g and am just trying to find other ways to employ it.

Of course it will... Just choose SMA adapter on your wire choice.

  8. Okay so Day 9 on this test. And I played with the SIM card trying it in another device which did not work. However that threw off the programming on my device and made it not work, so lesson to be learned if you do this project, do not ever take the SIM out to put in something else as it will fail and will also make your gateway fail as well. All is well now, had to swap, reprogram device, swap back to mifi keeping the SIM # the same as the gateway and magic. :) Back on!

Testing with a 24x16 Parabolic Grid - 60ft of RG-6 Dual Shield, 2 Barrel Adapters in the line.

Band 25 -77 - 13D-8U (Highest I have ever seen on Band 25 in this area)

    Band 26 -81 - 18D-10U

    Band 41 -87 - 31D-14U

    More info just PM me.

  9. Day 6 on Netgear 6100D using SIM Card SIMGLT207R from NOVATEL MIFI Device, so both devices working, Novatel on 3G, Netgear on 4G. if it holds I will explain, but this is great sign for us! This same SIM card is available in the Samsung S4 Mini.

Here are some tear down pictures of the Netgear 6100D

http://4gantennashop.com/netgear/4.jpg - 4G Card Top, when i disconnected the lower PCI Express card (3G Card I assume) I was not able to connect to the internet and even when I connect the card back without the antenna leads I still could not get back on to LTE. Interesting.

  10. This subject goes back and forth, almost every day in my world, unfortunately! As being an unlimited Sprint and also CLEAR customer with several business employee lines, I know the value that CLEAR does offer, however keep in mind there is always ways to do things, like I have a u341 usb into a craddlepoint MBR95 running my entire home network on Band 41 using an unlimited plan from Sprint, with speeds of 32mbs DL / 14mbs UP on RSRP (signal) of -83 using a Cal Amp 24db parabolic in Aurora IL connected to just one of the 2 external antenna ports, an inexpesive soultion for those that can not get hardline internet services. Serach this forum for more information on Sprint Hotspot unlimited plans for credit union memebers. need help PM me!

  11. I am pretty sure you can all rest easy for quite some time with WiMax, especially if you are in Major Market like myself that has deployed Dual WiMax/LTE radios, I have seen my new WiMax BSID towers in the GNSCAN and see that all the towers by my house have been converted to DUAL RRU which is a great thing, Take a look at your BSID now if you are in a smaller market and write it down. The key change that is constant with these new radio for my area so far is that they all begin with the same prefix 00:00:26:33:XX:XX . Previous to the change the radios last 3 set would different from each tower.

Remember WiMax is heavily deployed through out the United States and with http://mobilecitizen.org/ still selling equipment and has a 30 year license agreement / hold on EBS plus over 10 Million (probably more) active MAC address on WiMax and that SPRINT is still activating/selling and setting up new service on WiMax is a sure indication that Sprint is in no rush to close the WiMax network.

I got 60 lines of service so I am hoping that delay last for a very long time .. lol

  12. There is no way to disable b25 completely. At least not to my knowledge. That would be pointless as there is more b25 deployment, and b41 building penetration issues.

I highly doubt that B25 can not be shut down within the settings somehow, Yes there is more B25 deployment in this area.

  13. I wonder with the new update will they beef up the reception to the level of the .15 radio but have it so it will always connect to b41 first even if b25 signal is stronger

    Sent from my Nexus 5

Tested radio .15, failed to connect to Band 41 in the same area that radio.23 did. Radio .15 did attempt to connect to Band 41 but picked up a Band 25 signal and went back to it, In the drive test the reason Band 41 never gets searched for is because Band 25 continues to handshake very well, the phone only switches to Band 41 when Band 25 is completely unreachable. Someone mentioned this is tower controlled but I highly doubt that based on the driving tests, If Band 25 is gone Band 41 will come into play. What needs to be figured out is a way to disable the Band so the phone can focus on 41 and handshake properly, I am sure an update is down the road but correcting this seems to be on sprints last concern page.

  14. So you are connecting to this with a Nexus 5 with no special "tricks"?  I am still having issues with connecting to B41 on confirmed sites here locally...

No tricks when B25 loses signal completely, it then goes searching and then Band 41 connects, I can only get this working in 2 locations so far, West Chicago, IL RT.59 & Geneva Rd and Glendale Heights IL North Ave & Glen Ellyn Rd. What needs to be done is some sort of .apk that shuts off Band 25, especially for areas like mines that are heavy in Band 41.

Radio was .23 During these tests. Just flashed radio .15 and will drive test it later on.
