  1. I'm still struggling with getting LTE in Denver and AUrora. I see they updated the coverage map to include Cheyenne for 4g LTE data. I was hearing it would all be up by June 2014 (this site and Sprint stores). Has that changed to a later date? Is it my HTC 4g LTE phone? Sadly when I bought this phone, I was told by Sprint LTE would be available soon. That was almost 2 years ago. Would upgrading my phone offer more available 4g bands on the sprint network? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thx all!
  2. My phone has been on 4g LTE at home in Aurora (Chambers and Mississippi) for the past 6 weeks or so, but the download speeds are still 3g-like, at around 0.3 mbps. I'm disappointed at the moment. I get on avg -120db reception for that band. My question is, as more 4g sites come on line for Sprint, will my connection and dl speeds increase? I thought the Denver metro area would all be up on 4g by now. I did try my dl speeds at Parker and I-225 and got much better 4g speeds of 5-6 mbps. Ive seen no change to my speeds on DU campus, and along the S Platte.
  3. Its been a while since IVe read or posted this, so please excuse me if this is old news. I got 4g LTE at Chambers and Mississippi in Aurora this morning. It has flipped back and forth between 3g and 4g several times today. I ran a speed test while on LTE and got speeds of 0.31 Mbps, which is abysmal, but a step in the right direction. I stopped by a sprin store this week and talked with a rep there. He was able to pull up and show me info on their store PC that showed me which towers I am hitting (% of the time), and a Month and Year next to that. I live near the Mississippi and Chambers tower and I'm hitting that 77% of the time. The screen said April 2014. And another 20% of the time is near my work at Santa Fe and Evans, and the date for that to go 4g was June 2014. There were 4-5 other towers on the list that I have hit and they all said June 2014. So hopefully soon. Real soon.
  4. Thx for the info!! I didnt realize my phone number was in there, or public etc. I removed it right away. Thx for pointing that out. And thx for the info on the subsidizing going away. I'm definitely not waiting til Oct then. I'm looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S5 product/info release, which I believe is next week. I dont think I'll be able to wait for the new iPhone which is months away. The leaked info looks good, especially the much bigger screen size option. So I'll probably stick w Android and upgrade sooner than later. Thx for the info!! Cant wait to use LTE here in Denver. I love it on the East Coast and its definitely like night and day. KNowing Spark isnt too far away really helped retain me as a Sprint customer. Its been the longest Ive ewaited and been promised something. It was frustrating for a while, but after educating myself a bit (mostly from this thread/site), I understood that going to Verizon, or especially T-Mobile, wasnt in my best interest. Thx again
  5. I have a Spring HTC 4g LTE phone and it looks like that uses band 25. Whats the status of Sprints 4g network in Denver for band 25? Can I force my phone into 4gLTE data only? Its my understanding that we can get 4gLTE data to work but not with voice until the upgrades are done. My upgrade isnt until October, but I'm considering upgrading to the new Samsung Galaxy S5, or iPhone 6 in the coming months, but thats dependant on the status of band 25. Well thats my understanding. ANyone know what the status is for band 25 in Denver?
  6. I also want to thank the people in this forum/thread for the info on Denver LTE and Spark. I am waiting for the S5 (or other great phone) to come out to upgrade and I was excited to read in this thread that Denver is or will be Spark ready rather quickly. Initially I was expecting a multiyear wait like LTE. This is all very exciting. Thanks all.
  7. Looks like Sprints main coverage map now has Colorado Springs included for 4g LTE. I think they just added that to the map. I'm pretty sure it wasnt there last weekend. I'll begoing through there next weekend and am interested to see what kind of speeds i get on my ancient htc 4g lte.
  8. Hey Merlin, How about at Santa Fe and Evans in Denver (80223)? And MIssissippi and Chambers in Aurora (80017)? My Santa Fe connection has been a brutal 0.05 Mbps on avg on 3g, and about 1-2Mbps on Chambers & Miss. I'd greatly appreciate and info on either of these areas, as would all of my workmates. I almost fell for the TMobile sales pitches, but heard from too many current tmobile customers, that they get too many dropped calls. a couple more questions and research made me realize waiting for Sprints 4g is worth it, and hopefully Sprint SPark isnt far behind. And the more people that leave Sprint, the better my connection speed will be (hopefully). Also Tmobile is still for sale and from what Ive heard, Masayoshi Son is at the top of that list, so all those people leaving sprint for tmobile may coming back to sprint and not even know it. Thx!!
