  1. As of today, Sprint has OFFICIALLY announced Winston-Salem and Greensboro as Sprint Spark markets!! We should see new 2.5 GHz tower improvements soon, for better signal strength and faster speed on the Spark network. Also, HD voice is available nationwide, starting today!! Check it out... http://newsroom.sprint.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=11469 Sent from my HTC0P3P7 using Tapatalk

  4. That's exactly what happened to mine. I purchased it from Mazel Wireless, through Amazon.com. Within six weeks, it had shorted out and stopped working. They allowed me to exchange it for a replacement, which also shorted out in about six weeks. I requested another replacement, about two weeks ago, but they're still dragging their feet about issuing me an RMA...saying "We're waiting on our supplier (HTC, I assume) to get back with us about an exchange. I'm going to e-mail the representative again today. SMH... Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk

  6. It's great!! You can change fonts system wide. I just wish there was a way to download additional themes, or easily customize your own without rooting or complex file editing. The four included themes are very limited. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  7. It was to have the ability to have service where there's WEAK cell service. Think about it: 1. This way, they ensure you're a Sprint customer with an active line, and you're not trying to make calls and send texts from a phone that's no longer in service. 2. As I said earlier, since you can't get a CDMA signal abroad, it allows them to sell you those arm-and-a-leg international calling and texting packages. SMH... Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  8. Unfortunately, WiFi calling won't work overseas. Of course not, greedy wireless companies want you to have to buy their ridiculous international calling package with outrageous per-minute pricing. Technically, it's POSSIBLE for this to work overseas, but Sprint made it so that you HAVE to have a CDMA signal for it to work. SMH... Does this mean that now my Airave is pretty much useless? 10. WiFi calling works for me. I'm currently on a WiFi call while posting this. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  11. Yea, basically. But I bet T-MOBILE will be the company that eventually does it the way it SHOULD be done. Time will tell... Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  12. I wish all phone companies would just allow tethering. 5GB across their network is 5GB across their network...whether it comes directly over a phone, or is tethered to a tablet or laptop. Some day... Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk

  14. Hadn't seen that thread. But I wondered if I missed an "official appointment." I signed up for Sprint to notify me when it came here. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  15. http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/4glte-launchedmarkets.htm is showing "4G LTE launched markets as of 2/24/2014," which is tomorrow. This is the first time I've ever seen Winston-Salem on a launch list. Or am I very late? Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  16. So is tomorrow (February 24, 2014) the official launch of the Winston-Salem market? Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk

  18. About darn time they got LTE near the Sprint store. SMH... Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk

  20. zodiac12345 is right. In my area, my HTC One Max connects to Band 25 most of the time, but Band 41 on occasion...depending on where I am. The spinning Spark logo shows up either way. Otherwise, it's the 3G logo. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  21. Um........Sprint's LTE operates on the 1.9 GHz band. Any device connecting to the 800 MHz or 2.5 GHz band must be a Spark-capable device. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  22. And also...if that was really Band 41, I'm wondering why the upload speed was soooooo slow. Things I've read online explain that the signal strength really is only for voice calls and doesn't necessarily indicate the quality of the data connection. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  23. And that's what I'm unsure about. I don't know a way to verify which of the three bands of LTE my phone is connected to. But somehow I doubt Sprint would start building out Turbo Spark towers in a town as small as High Point, NC. I don't know. Here's my question: ever since the Softbank, Sprint, Clear merger...are all the old Clear towers automatically broadcasting to all Sprint customers now or something? Or do some upgrades have to take place first. Clear mobile internet (Wimax, and now LTE) was pretty big in this area. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  24. Well, maybe it's just received an upgrade. I've never gotten a connection that fast. (Even the WiFi at home and at work doesn't come NEAR.) I'm getting LTE in more and more places in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point. Not so much Kernersville. I see Sprint is FINALLY stepping up their game. Sent from my HTC One Max using Tapatalk
  25. Look what I picked up today...in High Point. I was at the Palladium IMAX, watching the Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug (indoors, of course). I was blown away...
