He said March 6th and that we should be sending St Paddys Day selfies on 4G. They were working on the tower at 470 on the northside of Chatfield today again. Coverage at my house has been dismal to excellent in the last week. Curiously I was in Highlands Ranch this weekend and kept picking up 1x800 from Lakewood. I live really close to Lakewood and never pick up 1x800 here. Out of alignment panel maybe?

2 workers are still working on this tower as of 9 am this morning as I passed by.
  2. Robert or dkoellerwex I presume we are close on our cluster site acceptance, based on the site acceptance reports I am seeing on other posts... Additionally I am seeing 4gLte turned on and off on my phone intermittantly.. Seems like a lot of testing going around. Do you agree? I am not asking for a start date. Thanks for all of the info you privide us with. Santa....

additionally, please explain  your pecking order to us bottom feeders: Pecking order: ehrpd, 1X advanced,  We are goin to have some fun now!!!

  3. Lte. I live off Parker and 225. We've got great Lte signals here. They just aren't turned on our phones yet. Check Sensorly and you will see my speed tests. I don't know when they are going to go Live, but from what I've seen at this area, we are going to rock and roll.

check sensorly on your cell phone and you will see speed tests. When I do it on my home computer, I only get the purple coverage area and no speed test.

Yes, I'm on 3G.  I was happy with my 3G speed (it wasn't crazy fast but reliable) up until the LG G2 Spark firmware update.  Now I get extremely slow if any data connection.   I used to be able to get LTE in Golden and Idaho Springs but my phone doesn't find it anymore.  A co worker who lives at 58th and Washington in Golden has the same issue.  He had great LTE speeds and now gets nothing, his phone doesn't even ring.  He's got a LG G2 as well.

Before you did your update your phone was recieving 1 band of 4GLte, with no problems. When you did your update, you gave your phone 2 more bands, 26 and 41, but what Sprint didn't tell you, was that we are haveing ECSFB issues in the Denver area when we go to use our Spark phones. All towers in our area have to get upgraded for us to use our new tri band phones on 4GLTE. Sprint is in the process of doing this right now. There is a thread in our group discussing it. Type ECSFB in the search engine at the top. Best wishes.

  5. Your statement needs to be "In my experiences with 1x800, the call quality was atrocious". Unless you have been in every single Sprint market that has 1x800 deployed AND have made phone calls in each of these markets to test the call quality, then there is absolutely no way that you can make a conclusion for the entirety of the nationwide Sprint network that the call quality of 1x800 is atrocious. There is a whole plethora of reasons as to why your call quality may not have been up to par.

If you do the arithmetic: The original NV 1.0 plan was to upgrade ~39,000 sites for ~$8 Billion.  That works out to just over $205,000 per site.  Since the original announcement, there have been additions for more sites and for B41 LTE & B26 LTE, and also more dollars allocated, so that today I would guess the total estimated cost per site is in excess of $400,000, but that is just a guess, and really doesn't account for the newer plan to have something like 50,000 B41 sites.

     Wow!

It was unfortunate. Attitudes make all the difference.

But we move on. This thread still has some great people in here.

And LTE is still coming. This Spring, at the latest.

As far as the data issues, there are a whole host of things that can cause problems. It could be they are beginning to fire up NV sites, or it could be a network hiccup. It's hard to say.

As in March, April Spring??? (or is May a spring day where you are?) Santa
