  1. So there's this new Band 41 site in Centennial. My location is at Quebec and Caley. It's from a Sprint site, signal check pro doesn't show B41. So does this mean this site has the new 8T8R panels?

Look at  your screen. It is band 41. Can't tell if it's a clearwire site Band 41 or a sprint site. If you were a premier sponsor, you could log into our site and tell which. Consider donating...

  2. ok guys, I forgot to post this here. Saturday the 15th of November I am hosting a barbecue at my home for S4GRU members. All of you are welcome whether you have a paid membership or not, just rsvp!!

The barbecue pit and the smoker will be on.  I'm smoking 2 briskets, cajun sausage and any other meat you might want to bring. Robert our fearless leader and David the head of our Colorado thread, are both attending. It'll be a great get together. I'm off of Parker road and 225. I'm guessing we'll start about noon, and go till the last guy goes home. Please RSVP with me here or email me at stromainp@autonation.com. i am hoping for about 30 or so attendees. I've got 3 decks in my back yard, plus we back up to a beutifull park in Dam East. Please RSVP so we've got a head count. if you want to donate some food, it's all welcome. Just let me know in advance what you are bringing so we can plan ahead.  (It takes about 3 hours to smoke meat, 2 hours for fish, and probably 4 hours for chicken..)   Please bring your own alcohol.... 3. Guys I know you are heavily dissapointed. We just became a spark city yesterday in Denver Colorado. I've watched the progress for a year and a half. We weren't even 3g network vision accepted a year ago...  On the south Side of Denver, major thoroughfare I stay on 2500 Lte which is either Clearwire's band 41 or Sprints 85tr band 41. As I move between towers, coverage slips between them effortlessly. We are getting speeds around 35 to 50 on the Clearwire and 8t84 sites, and 5 on the low side to around an average of 12 on the other 2 Band 25 and 26 sites. We still have poor coverage in some areas, but overall, when this comes to your area, you will love it. If you aren't a premier sponsor, I highly recommend it. It gave me hope throughout the entire process. I enjoyed tracking and reporting all of our progress for the past year.... Best Wishes. Santa

  4. Yeah, they already announced the June launch cities. And Denver did not make the cut. They may launch in July or August. However, they did complete all the equipment installs in the Denver metro area (excluding DIA and the Boulder cluster). So the LTE equipment is there now at almost every site.

The ones where backhaul was ready, they have fired up LTE. About 1/3 of the city so far. So they are waiting on backhaul on the remaining 2/3. Once they get to the point where 40% are fired up, they will launch.

People with a Triband device will get LTE coverage now over 50% of the metro area. But they will not formally launch the market until uniband device holders have at least 40% coverage.

Robert, should people with tri band devices be getting band 41 in Denver right now? I was getting it up to a month ago, when I forced it. I'm not getting it anywhere forced or not now. The only difference is I uploaded kit Kat onto my Samsung Mega about a month ago. (You might have wanted this in our premier sponsors site, but since you brought it up here, I thought I would ask here. ) Thanks in advance for your time and consideration...

  5. Now that NV conversions are nearly complete in the Denver area (just the Boulder and West Greenwood clusters remaining), Triband device holders should start seeing a much better LTE experience as eCSFB starts going live. B41 will become more and more prevalent inside the perimeter and B25 fire ups will continue every few days as backhaul starts to get completed and fired up.

From here forward, every week or two it should be noticeably better and better around Denver.

    Thank you kind sir!

  6. I picked up LTE for the first time at 28th and Walnut, then all through my drive home to 38th and Osage. Speeds aren't great, really not that much different from the 3g I was pulling before, 100ms ping, 1mbps down, 1mbps up. Got better late at night, 60ms ping, 5mbps down, 6mbps up.

I am presuming you know this but Sprint lighted up 3 or 4 sites downtown 4glte today. So you should see it in the next 2 or 3 days.. Congrats!

  7. There's only one or two sites live in that area, they are handling many more users than they are designed to. That's what's pulling the speeds down. Once more sites go live, speeds will even out and become more usable.

Also, if you upgrade to a tri-band (Spark) device, you'll have access to the Band 41 LTE network which is live across Denver and supports speeds of 30-70Mbps.

If you upgrade to a tri band spark device you will have to force 4 glte until all of our sites in Denver are 3 glte accepted. It's an easy thing to do. Just wanted you to know..

  8. Berthoud is brimming with 4g goodness. I play a game called Ingress and it causes me to drive around a bit using data and boy Berthoud is just awesome. Loved showing it off to the wife tonight.

drockw, get a life!!! You loved showing lte to your wife last night??????? Common man...My wife thinks I'm crazy for spending all the time I spend on this site. I'm with you brother!  Wishing everyone on our site a happy Easter Sunday. Santa and his family. We are having 15 of our most intimate friends and family over, for a quiet Easter Sunday!!!!!

  9. We have 4G Lte along this corrider in a sprint spark band, It takes a tri band phone to get it. Like Denver nugs, I could pull Lte along this corrider until a week ago. I think they are testing it out now. I went through the same process a couple of weeks ago on the se side of town. I am hoping we see the same results. Hopefully we will see this area on s. wadsworth accepted by 3g, then turned onto 4g in the next month... It's comming. Have some hope!
