  1. Are you using a custom ROM? I'm using Calkulin v1.4 ICS ROM and do not have that issue.

Robert via NOVO7PALADIN Tablet using Forum Runner

    I'm on stock 2.3.6 unrooted.

Have you tried pushing the volume button a split second before the power. Sometimes I get the same error because I am pushing the power button just a bit faster than the volume button.

That seemed to do it. Although for me its home button+power button since I'm not on an ICS ROM and I'm not rooted. I guess I'll just have to get some practice doing it like that.

  2. Every time I take a screenshot, the "Phone Options" menu that pops up when the power button is help down for a few seconds always pops up when taking a screenshot, no matter how short my press of the power button is. Does this happen to anyone else with an E4GT, and is there any way to stop this from happening?

  3. I'm glad they brought back the kickstand, but i dont like that its more up towards the camera and the thin design of it. I personally think that if it was a thicker kickstand and was towards the bottom more, like the Thunderbolt, then it would appeal to me more. I'm also not a fan of Sense anymore, but I've heard that Sense 4.0 is less cluttered and runs alot better than previous versions of sense, so I'll give it a try at a Sprint store to see how I like it. I'm waiting for the GSIII though to make my final decision.

  4. Samsung Rant- My first phone ever. I hated it. It broke slightly after a year of owning it with the internal display cracking or something like that.

LG Rumor Touch- I got this phone as a replacement to the Rant months after it broke, and for a non-smartphone, it wasn't that bad. Although that phone is what go me to hate slide out keyboards.

HTC Evo 4G- Upgraded to the Evo about two years ago, and loved it at first. But with the Gingerbread update, then the 2.3.5 update, I started experiencing some problems, mainly big problems with Sense.

Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch- Upgraded to this from my Evo about a week ago and I will not go back to HTC. Great battery life, very lightweight, and Touchwiz is better than Sense by a longshot in my opinion. Although I was disappointed it came with Sprint ID at first, I soon realized that Sprint ID brings the phone back to the stock Gingerbread launcher(with the Sprint ID logo taking the place of the browser icon, of course).

  5. QBKing is the first to try everything out. How many phones does that guy have???

That's a good question. Although almost all of his videos that I've seen of his have been on the E4GT though. I think that's his main phone. I have no clue what else he has.

  6. I found a video reviewing the leaked version of 4.0.3 for the E4GT, and it seems to have a few bugs, but not many. It's was released on February 27th (FB27, which is part of the build number). The link to the video is:

If anybody has seen it already, or if anybody goes to see it, whats your opinion on the build? I personally really like that it allows the user to clear launcher defaults and use the stock ICS launcher over Touchwiz.

  7. My upgrade is tomorrow, and I'm wanting to get the Epic 4G Touch. Im debating on whether or not to upgrade though, since the Galaxy Nexus imsgoukd be getting released on Sprint soon(maybe in the next few months?) And there's the possibility of an LTE E4GT getting released sometime soon as well. But I really want to get rid of my Evo(well use it to boot custom ROMs on, since I keep my main phone stock) since I'm having alot of problems with it and my local Sprint store is terrible at customer service. Any opinions on what I should do, or anyone have any clue.as to a possible release date of the GNex? If it matters, my city has WiMax and is in the first round of LTE rollouts.
