    My top 5 for Android

    1. GTA III - I remember playing this game for hours on end on the PS2. It brings back lots of memories playing it on my phone. The controls take some getting used to, but I love the game.
    2. COLLAPSE - Block breaking game that is simple but addicting
    3. Pinochle - We play pinochle in the office on lunch break and it's addicting, so I play this when I need my fix away from work. The AI is not very smart and the computer makes some dumb mistakes, but it is the only one out there.
    4. Netflix - I don't think there is a limit to the number of times someone can watch the big lebowski.
    5. Monopoly - Great game and it keeps track of money for you so there is none of that annoying thinking to do.

That is a good analogy, you GOTTA have it to keep your customer base happy and keep them on your network, but it erodes profits. Maybe it's because there is a new android phone out every week, but it doesn't seem like Android customers are nearly as upgrade obsessed as Apple customers.

What do you think of the Xyboard? I've heard mixed reviews, but if you are going to get a tablet with LTE, I don't know what else would be better than the Xyboard. And who wants to carry around a hotspot AND a tablet. I'm hoping Sprint can fix their tablet situation when LTE devices come out.

    My top 5 for Android

    1. Go Launcher EX - I had never even heard of this app until it came preloaded on Calkulin's rom for the E4GT. It replaces touchwiz and allows for a LOT of customization like themes, how big or small the shortcuts and widgets are on your home screen, app drawer customization, lock screen customization and a lot more. And it's free!
    2. Soundhound/Shazam - Both apps can identify songs using the phone's microphone and allow you to add it to your "tag stream" or listen to it on pandora etc. Both have free and paid versions.
    3. Google music - I recently found out that google music allows you to upload 20,000 songs into their "cloud" and then stream all your music on your computer, phone, tablet or pretty much anything that can connect to the internet.
    4. Camera ZOOM FX - Camera app that allows you to use all kinds of effects on your pictures. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to use the volume rocker to take the picture. Currently on sale for $2.99.
    5. AirPush Detector - Ever get those (expletive deleted) ads that pop up in your notification bar? Did you just install 25 apps and not have a clue which one is the offender? AirPush detector sniffs them out and brings you to the uninstall page.

I would have to agree with you on that one. I think a lot of people are excited for another "superphone" maker to join the arms race and release another flagship phone to consider. If Nokia can get past their problems with CDMA, which I think they will, I don't see any reason Sprint won't see a Nokia Windows Phone this year.

When the Evo was released, sprint added the infamous $10 charge. Afterwards, they called it the smartphone charge. Is it imminent that there will be another charge when sprint rolls out LTE? Possibly the end of unlimited data? A whole new set of plans that we will have to switch to?

Hopefully they learned from the backlash from their smartphone "tax" and leave it as is. Verizon was nice enough to double up the data allowance to entice customers who weren't grandfathered in with unlimited data to buy a LTE phone.

According to a Verizon data hog that I know, he gets up to 50 Mbps at times from Verizon's LTE, until he hits 5GB, then it becomes noticeably slower. He normally exceeds 15GB of downloads per month since Verizon rolled out LTE in December and has identified that it is 5GB that they start throttling his speeds. Verizon admits throttling their top 3G users in their Network Optimization disclosure but it specifically says that LTE users will not be affected. It states that you will only be affected if you are:

    • A data customer on an unlimited data plan;
    • Have a 3G Verizon Wireless device (if you have a 4G LTE device you will not be impacted); and
    • Among the top 5% of data users in a given month.

Sprint has been rumored to throttle their top 5%, but denied it. With the other 3 top carriers throttling their unlimited plans, is it inevitable for Sprint sooner or later to throttle their data users?

I just wonder what kind of nightmare it would be to roam when your network is pure VoLTE...

Don't get me wrong, there were a few good Nextel phones, and they were all built like a tank, but there were a lot of garbage phones they made and forced down our throat.

I hope SDC takes off, I might even buy a SDC phone if they put it on a flagship Android. I loved my old work Nextel for PTT, but I really didn't use it for much else.

I used it for a couple months and disabled it. What I found was that it continuously was looking for 3G and killed my battery. It would take forever to connect and sometimes wouldn't connect at all. I was not happy with it and I sure hope that Sprint has improved the SDC by now, or they will be seeing a mass exodus of DC customers to traditional service. They might stay with Sprint, but they might go to ATT or VZW.

@BenChase7 I agree, that 800mhz spectrum allows them to be right there with AT&T and Verizon. If they waited until now to try to get it, they would be paying a mint. I think they should have phased out iDEN a long time ago though.

I hope they have something in the works where you can search for your area and see when/if it is coming to your area. I even tried going to the cached page, but that was the same page as the current one.
