  1. What kind of speed is everyone getting on the new SheNtelos LTE? Super psyched to see some sites poping up in lynchburg, but I am trying to find the perfect time to switch back while still getting all the sprint incentives.
  2. I don't know if that means anything, but boy does it make me feel better, lets hope its just the start of change in the nTelos region.
  3. Yah, see the whole experience left a horrible taste in my mouth..so I am not sure I want it to work out. I hit up sprint twitter, and still haven't heard anything back. I think I'll stick with AT&T for a little while longer or maybe switch to Cricket. At least I know I can switch the sims and be done with it.
  4. I didn't even get that far :-( They said that they couldn't activate the phones and suggested I go to another store in the area, who "Might be able to help me". I with you was shocked, I couldn't believe what was happening. Is Dan's email still monitored? O and yes, I told them that they were previously on AT&T but explained they were sold unlocked from Google, and are compatible with their network. Here is the best part, the main rep i spoke to was the sales team lead... *sigh* Yah I don't know what they were thinking, probably unhappy I wasn't activating 4 GS5's on Easy Pay like the woman next to me.
  5. Well, the meeting flopped today. The sprint reps had no idea what they were doing with the phones and said uh...we can't activate these. They tried to claim they couldn't activate the phone even though they had a N5 on display. You might try XYZ store, they have more experience.. I went to the only corporate store in the area, and they recommended I go to a licensed re-seller.. *Sigh* Gave sprint another chance and came up sorely disappointed.
  6. Got them from Google Play. Fantastic, glad to hear it should be fine to activate.
  7. Hey Everyone, Was a sprint customer around a year ago. Left when the Nexus 5 came out. My wife and I Joined T-mo, left after three months and we have been with AT&T ever since. I just found out that my employer has a 23% discount, which would mean we could get on the share pack for $77 + Tax. I have one big question, have you all had any issues. 1. Activating unlocked N5's on sprint? 2. Had any issues using those N5's on sprint? While I am in the black hole that is nTelos country, I am paying a little over $120 right now on AT&T so saving $35-40 a month is quite appealing to me..even with the abysmal 3G in the area. wasn't sure where this belonged..sorry if its in the wrong forum.
  8. meh. I agree, not what I would call disruptive. we'll see what comes later for the individual plans.
  9. The 10 line plan is intriguing to me if they will let tablets on it and you can hotspot with the data from your phone. 2 N5's, 2 Nexus 7's LTE and an occasional hotspot for $100. Sounds like an a win in my book.
  10. SoftBank's U.S. Cellphone Strategy Takes Shape http://online.wsj.com/articles/softbank-picks-sharp-as-partner-for-low-cost-smartphones-1408357352?tesla=y&mg=reno64-wsj&url=http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204616804580099180940437998.html < looks interesting if you have a WSJ sub.
  11. As someone who lives in a USC area with LTE, and a sprint area with no LTE..lets hope USC is in their cross hairs. Although i really doubt its going to happen.
  12. O I know, but it would be great to not have to deal with keeping 7+ people on a plan. no gimmicks would be ideal. Just simple pricing.
  13. The new CEO has me excited for the future of sprint, but the fact I am still in nTelos territory means it doesn't matter. Lets hope the new plans include them kicking nTelos into gear.
  14. As someone who left sprint a year or so ago... $50 unlimited per line or $35 for 3GB unsubsidized would be enough to bring me back. O and nTelos getting its act together in 24502. One of these things might happen..there is no chance for the other.
  15. No worries, loving the no contract lifestyle. AT&T finally started giving a discount for no contract lines. When I left sprint I bought an N5 and haven't looked back since. Once nTelos/sprint gets the crap in order I'll come back with the same phone. Win win.
  16. As someone who left sprint in lynchburg due to nTelos..and not sprint this would be fantastic. I'd love to jump back on sprint for the framry plans but alas I'll stick with AT&T for now.
  17. Yup, went to school there to get my Undergrad in Information Systems and stuck around as they hired me on as a Data Analyst there. I'm working on my Masters in Information Systems and my wife is working her Masters in Education. Glad to see another LU Student around the net, however with 100k online students it makes sense I would run into one. :-)
  18. Hey Everyone! Long Time lurker here finally got around to registering for an account. Sadly, I am in nTelos Territory and and currently am enjoying the blazing 3G speeds of 50k-100k day in and day out. While my market is no where near an NV improvements, the forum is fascinating for Columbus OH updates (where I used to live and where my parents live currently). If nTelos ever gets around to upgrading their towers, I will happily report from my neck of the woods however until that happens... Thanks everyone for all the info!
