  1. Good news, my Nexus 5 is now on LTE in Shentel markets (mostly used in York). Bad news, it doesn't like to make phone calls now. I've switched from Global to LTE and after using that setting for the past day no improvement. I guess I'm glad that my Moto X will be here tomorrow.

Did you try making calls without an area code? That for some reason worked for me. I was able to easily duplicate it also, no idea why that would be an issue, but it was.

  2. Well that's good but when I try to make a call it says call sent then immediately says call ended. I can receive calls just fine. Lte drops and then when I hang up it reconnects just like it's supposed to. It's just making calls that does this.

Actually mine does too, unless I dial without an area code which is really strange. Try it out.

  3. Same here in Hagerstown md. I saw lte on my n5. My problem is now that I can't make phone calls. It's like it can't get off lte to make calls. R u having any problems with making calls?

No that was the first thing I tried. I tested calls and texts. When making or receiving a call, LTE disconnects and then the phone receives or makes the call. Signal check only shows LTE connection also, and the engineering screen shows proper connection, unlike before when forced, it was emergency calls only.

  4. I am updating incumbent/ non incumbent list to include exceptions and include if the market is 3G/4G as well as including an explanation of what it will mean in laymens terms.

I live in Central Pennsylvania, and can tell you that LTE is not working on my Nexus. All the towers in my area are 3G/800/4G.

Edit: Apparently my location is considered "Western Pennsylvania"

  5. It's believed that a site with NV 3G accepted (a yellow or green site) that will not allow a Triband LTE device to connect is just in need of a software update. This is why some people report their LTE all of a sudden works. So maybe your site will be recitifed soon.

All the sites around my area are either yellow or green, 16602, but it is Shentel territory. I'm wondering what the chances are that they will fix them? I haven't been able to connect to any of them.

  6. Are all people having LTE issues in Band 41 markets? Is it possible your device sees the Band 41 site and not allowing you to connect to Band 25 LTE?

No idea, but I really doubt it. Where I live i'm surprised we have any LTE. I can force connect, but I cannot make or receive calls while connected.

  7. Does anyone have an opinion on whether getting a new SIM would help with LTE connectivity issues? My local store has some extras on hand

I tried an old sim from my HTC One, and a new one. Same deal, no LTE. I've had my N5 since Tuesday.

  8. Just received this response from an online chat about LTE and Google Play phones:

Carter K: Officially the phone will be launched on Sprint network effective 8th of November. Once the device is launched directly through us, all the services of this phone customer will start getting, and the Google Play purchased customer too. So on the 8th of November your Google phone will also start catching the constant LTE signals like your previous phone.

Not sure if this is true, but not much I can do I suppose?
