  1. So I've got my iPhone 5 today at work instead of the S4. Getting more normal LTE speeds, only did a single test so far but the speed was 21.34 down and 5.38 up. So I'm not sure what was going on yesterday, I had a -87 for signal on the S4 today I have a have signal jumping from -92 to -107. So my S4 had much better connectivity than the iPhone but that still doesnt explain the insane speeds. Like Mike said though the app probably just over-reported the numbers and it should have shown much lower. What I can tell you though is I tried uploading some files and it was pretty quick haha.
  2. Well the image isnt doctored, I also took a screen shot of each and every speed test after doing them. Figured the results page would just be easier to see them all at once. So maybe there is something wrong with the app, but I also tried rebooting my phone, turning off 4G and turning it back on. I probably should test it with sensorly too. So tomorrow while at work if speed test is producing similar results I'll test it and see what happens. Just figured I would post these while I was getting the speeds, wasn't sure if there was some thing they were testing. Guess I was a bit over excited about seeing the numbers, also because it seemed to stay consistent, it wasn't just a single odd result and then back to normal. Anyway, you can call me a phony if you want, its just what I was getting. I'm using a GS4 on Cyanogenmod for reference, so if somebody has insight to maybe that being the cause let me know. EDIT: Tomorrow I'll be on my iPhone 5 that I normally carry, so I'll see what happens with that.
  3. I am getting insane upload speeds just outside of Boston in Dedham right now! Just did a few tests got a low of 61Mbps and a high of 138Mbps! I don't know what sprint did here, if they are testing something, but this is absolutely crazy! My normal speeds here are about 25 down and 10 up. I'll upload a screen shot later tonight after work of my results tab. EDIT: Decided to just upload the picture while I have a second!
  4. Haha, that was my thought too. Although the map of the dartmouth / new bedford area is pretty spot on, so hopefully these new updates will be fairly close too. Sadly for me, i work and live in areas that are right on the very edge of LTE spots, so it doesnt always connect.
  5. Coverage.sprint.com was given major LTE updates this morning to the Massachusetts map.
  6. I was able to run some speed tests today in the Dedham / Westwood area that I was talking about yesterday. My highest down was 7.93Mbps, and highest up was 3.95Mbps. Although I did have pretty weak signal according to my iPhone 5 (which does show LTE signal in bar form). I do feel like this is just the very start of testing in this area though. I drive here everyday and yesterday was the first time I've gotten any LTE signal. I frequent the Dartmouth / New Bedford area, and when they were in testing phase it was super spotty, but the second it went "live" on the sprint site, the coverage exploded, and signal was amazing. I just wish sensorly worked on the iPhone for mapping like it did on my S3.
  7. Fairly decent, I average 1.5down and .7-1.0 up. Not the fastest thing in the world, but it's better than some other spots.
  8. I don't have specifics about brookline, but i have noticed that maybe of the Boston sites seem to be up and down frequently. I've gone a lot of places that sensorly has LTE showing, yet there is zero. I wouldn't get your hopes up based on sensorly for anything in Boston sadly.
  9. I got LTE for about a minute on the Westwood / Dedham line (exit 14) off 128, right by the rotary. If I go into airplane mode and come out, it shows LTE for a second and then goes away again, and finds the much stronger 3G signal. At least there is some progress going on somewhere though!
  10. Odd story, I was just logging on here to say this. I was able to get 4g at my apartment in Dorchester last night. I obtained a fairly low signal, only got about 7.5 down and 1.5 up, but its much much better than any 3G I got before that. For reference I live right by the painted water tower, (about exit 11 off 93 north, Ashmont Eerie Pub). Normally any 4g thats lingering around from Braintree goes away by exit 8, or at max exit 9. So this is a good sign.
  11. I live in Dorchester right by Ashmont and was getting very low signal too. There is an LTE tower in Mattapan, the signal just barely reaches my apartment, and the only way it does is if I put my phone into LTE only mode to force it to find the signal. Hopefully the sprint rep you spoke to is correct about the tower coming up. I am a sprint technician at a store, I'll see if maybe I can find out more info if it's not back by Wednesday.
  12. ' Oh, well sorry I've never seen those threads. Thanks for the info.
  13. Check out the program NetMonitor. When you have 4G you can open that program and it will show you the tower you are connected to right on a google map.
  14. The little black dots are the for the city names, just like any other map haha. The blue sign, if it looks like a blue antenna logo, that means there is a tower update going on in that area, but that does not mean that its an LTE tower. EDIT: After looking at the map quickly, it specifically says the blue tower logo means "Future 3G Network Tower".
  15. Thats odd, my GS3 actually shows bars with it turned on.
