  1. Yes, it is.

If network.sprint.com is accurate, LTE might be available in Oxnard near Community Center Park. I drove by the other day, but no luck with LTE.

I'll probably try to swing by again tomorrow to give it another try.

Well for the last couple weeks ive been getting 4g on and off through there, but the same thing is true for Camarillo

  2. Just an update on this site. It's been waiting on for fiber from ATT since it was accepted back in July.

It looks like the fiber might be ready, although the junction box could very well be just installed without the fiber pulled to it.

is that the one by your work?

  3. Sorry but I have iPhone and it's not in the App Store.

I would just try to cycle airplane mode manually then turn on airplane mode for 10 secs then turn on data for 30 secs and repeat 3x most if you dont get lte then you dont have it and they might of just been testing it out which is good news, dont get your hopes too high tho

  4. Weird thing just happened i picked up LTE but only for like about 1 second then it went back to 3G in Santa Maria.

thats a good thing it means its close to your area or they are testing it out.. I would download the app the lte discovery.. it finds the strongest network by cycling airplane mode 10 secs off then on for 30.. repeat.. you can do it manually the app just makes it easier and will automatically stop when it gets lte

  5. So by the time 4g gets covered in nipomo it will be 2014. Right or wrong.

all markets are suppose to have sufficent 4g coverage in 2014 so right in a way it may be sooner tho once it hits sb I would start getting your hopes up

  6. I don't think so, there was no fiber there last week when I checked. The site is about a mile away from my work.

Even though it was one of the first full build sites to go live in Ventura, I don't think it'll be one of the first to get LTE.

Maybe the one by my house will :D its the closest to oxnard which just went live

  7. I don't think anyone knows outside of Sprint or ATT how long it takes for a circuit to go live from the time the orders were placed.

For my work, it took about 8 months for them to get the fiber live. The actual physical work was done about a month after the contract was signed. We were told there was a backbone project that needed be done before we could go live.

Typical install times are supposed to be 90-120 days.

so the one by your work is suppose to go live soon?

  8. Permit I just saw on the Ventura county website:

    Modification/Upgrade to an existing

    wireless telecommunications

    facility-Remove 3 existing antennas and

install 3 new antennas. Install 1 fiber

junction box, retrofit 1 modcell equipment

cabinet, install 6RRHs. Install 2 new

liquid tight conduits from MMBTs to

    J-Box, Replace GPS unit.

    928 CUMMINGS RD, SANTA

    PAULA, CA 93060

So santa paula is getting 4g next?

  9. This site was probably the one that went live. I saw them working on it mid August and it was 3G accepted a couple of weeks after that.

Now if ATT would get fiber to the site near my work, there would be LTE in Ventura.....it was 3G accepted way back in July.

  11. Is it good that I get a 1x for Internet and lower dots trying to find 4g in nipomo.

the area your getting 1x most likely won't get 4g, the places that you get 3g with an ehrpd network, youll most likely get lte

  12. Ventura never got wimax, neither did Camarillo, Oxnard, thousand Oaks or Westlake. There was/is one random site at the edge of Oxnard that got wimax but it covered a portion of El Rio and didn't go to the other side of the 101.

yea thats what I was talking about

  13. You'll get it there. There's a site that's pretty close to that area.

I work near Victoria and Olivas Park.

Donate and you'll get access to maps of all Sprint sites. It's worth it to see where all the sites are located and which ones are accepted.

sweet good to know! That makes me excited! Now it's just a waiting game.. you think they are gunna do oxnard before they come here

  14. If I remember correctly, Sprint plans on having NV complete by mid 2014. In the next 3 to 6 months you'll probably have LTE in more places than not.

I'm pretty impressed that the one site covers so much area.

where do you work. .. im worried I wont get it in ventura because I live on the east side off telephone between Johnson and kimball

  16. Unfortunately it's always scattered in the beginning. That's the nature of being able to connect as sites are done, versus blocking people until there’s enough coverage. It'll get better and better as more sites come online.

I'd rather connect to whatever is available over having to wait until coverage is "complete".

So pretty much we wont have full coverage till probably next year?
