How are you all doing ???
I left Sprint last year because I got frustrated with the LTE (I prefer SIM card too) and I cant get my HTC Evo 4G LTE to work with all these spotty LTE signals that I am getting.
I been using Tmobile prepaid and was using Nexus 4 and now I just got my HTC One last week. Paid $650 for it with tax. (No more expensive plastic phone and front loud stereo speakers. S4 and S3 cant do this).
Now Tmobile just turn on LTE signal in Atlanta about 2 days ago. I see LTE briefly few days ago (south Atlanta) but it goes away about 1 min later each time. I dont know how to make the LTE signal stick. I remember reading here u have to do ## something. I wonder if that work in this HTC one phone.
I am back in the same boat again waiting for a good LTE signal. I am ok with 4G. (HTC Evo can only get LTE or 3G).
Hello ROBERT and and themuffinman and ATL! What you all up to man ???

How is the LTE deployment around the southside of Southlake mall and the aiport? I cant use Sprint anymore. :-(
-
Hi. I had not been back here a while cause I been getting my LTE when there is LTE.
Before I had my Radio update, I cant even get LTE even when I am 1 feet from the tower. Hows that for fun?
-
In my experience, yes. And it is quite noticeable.

Why does the S3 has better tolerence than the HTC 4G LTE phone? Bigger antenna?
-
My EVO LTE is working great after the OTA. Before that, it was bad and frustrating.
Is it true that the 3S has better tolerence than EVO LTE?
-
Sensorly got a website. I didnt know this.
The darker the purple, the stronger the signal.
All in all, a good warez.
Sprint LTE mapping has more detail than Verzion or ATT. As someone have said, its because of the free buffet of data we getting from Sprint for now.

I dont see the screenshot that you all are capturing.
Is that a weight lifting icon that Spring use now?
It doesnt say if the upgrade has been implemented or not right?
-
So what's the point of the test?
I use it for sanity check. Sometimes you say 'oh I got LTE here' or 'oh I dont have LTE here' and 'oh I wasnt sure I did have LTE here before' etc. So data dont lie. It is put in writing. You fate is seal. Get it?

Whenever I click on the "Report" I always get "Error occured". I never seen it working.
I dont think the Legend help is working.
What is the difference between light and deep purple color on the map?

There is new expanded LTE coverage where I live.
I was running at the Jester Creek Pathway and I got LTE coverage right behind the Lee Elementery school and toward Tara Blvd and I map it tonight.
Now I can Skype my friends and family when I am at the pathway, its more like a trail.

What happen to the Atlanta thead about LTE?
Edit - It has moved into the Market folder now.
-
Because WiMax is a full deployment in your area and the nearest WiMax site to you is much closer than the nearest LTE site is now. As the deployment completes in Atlanta, you will find LTE coverage to be far superior to WiMax.

Thanks Robert. Once I get LTE inside my office bulding, my life will come full circle. I already got consistant LTE at my house.

I didnt. Oh. hahaha That is funny.
If you all write something like on Sensory, please share.
If I can find a field where nobody can get to it, then my track will stick forever.
Maybe I do at Area 41.
-
When I have my EVO 3D, I get 4G inside my building. Now only 3G on my HTC 4G LTE phone.
This is weak LTE signal and not LTE penetration right?
-
Did you watch any TV in 1994-1995?
AJ
No. I did remember Howie Korsel. I dont see the clip of drawing on Sesnorly.
-
haha .. Why OJ wear a glove doing interview?
-
My Comcast promo ends this month and it will go up to $72 for Blast.
I might just get the Performance and it is $62.
That is very high.
There is ATT DLS in my area, but the uplaod speed is only 512kb and I am not going for that. ATT is qutting DSL. They are not expanding Uverse here.
Is Clear going to have LTE on mobile? I am running a forum and FTP on my home PC. Will it work on mobile?
Where are all the competition?

I work for DirecTV so I travel all day everyday. A lot of the sensorly data for the Joliet, Bolingbrook, romeoville, Illinois areas are me I try to use it all day since my phone is on the charger allday
Good job!

Hey Sensorly. How long does it take before our map LTE signal is updated at your server?
Has anyone draw a smiley face or write some word on the map? It would be a neat thing to do.

Users per tower as well as what the users are doing. If you have 100 people on a tower checking facebook, it will be a lot less load on the tower than 100 people streaming netflix in 720p resolution.
Each sector is broken into resource blocks. The more data intensive the usage is, the more resource blocks it hogs. Once the resource blocks are all being used, the cell has to start taking away resource blocks and allocating them to new users. Then everyone slows down. Once the NV rollout is complete, the network could also recognize that one cell is starting to become overloaded and push some users onto a neighboring cell with less load.
I see. So its like cable modem technology. The more user the less the speed.
Another cell tower with less load may not have the fastest speed as it is further away.
I wonder if they would throttle someone that has been downloading for the last hour on that tower.
I am sure there is away to hack the phone to select the tower you want, the PRL you want. That is why I like root.

I do have sensorly app, there was no 4G mapped where I was talking about until I mapped it.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Yes, that is how you know when there are new coverage. It looks like it take a day before you see the refresh on their server.
Did you all have 10 update on this app for the last 2 days?

How does the amount of city bypasses have anything to do with LTE deployment? The amount of cell sites has to be enough to support the population of the market, sprawling or not.
The dates are forecasted by using the current rate of conversion applied to the remaining sites in the market.
I didnt see the sprawling vs capacity part.
With LTE, the more people get on it, the slower the speed or is it limit by how many LTE users per tower?
-
I dont understand why Houston, a big sprawling city with three rings around the city will finish the mapping on March 2013 and Atlanta with only one ring (I-285) will be completed in August 2013.

I noticed yesterday that around the Forest Park, Morrow, and Lake City area, there is more 4GLTE coverage. They must have just turned on some 4G towers in that area. I had 4G connection from my house in Lake City all the way to downtown ATL. Today I went from my house all the way to Mt. Zion shopping area (Best Buy, PetSmart, HomeDepot, etc.) with 4G all the way. I couldn't do that before. I never had 4G at my house before and when I went to Mt. Zion area, it was always in and out.
Install Sensorly app. That is how I find out if there is LTE coverage there or not. I always turn it on when no LTE has been map there before.
Still able to get a sero plan?

How is the Sprint LTE deployment?
