Follow the steps in the post below, just select 1x instead of LTE. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4726-new-orleans-and-louisiana-markets-mapspreadsheet/&do=findComment&comment=208949
Cool. Thank you

The engineering screens should show you which band you're on. I think. Not sure. You're talking 800 CDMA right? It should show you that you're on band 10 on the 1x engineering.
Yes. But don't know how to get to it
-
Anyone know how to tell whether its 800 band on iPhone or not?
-
Just got off the phone with sprint technical support and they told me that there is towers that should be accept soon. and central illinois market will luanch on November 27th.
I was told a few weeks ago Peoria area would be live by November 27th too
-
I would think LTE will be live here in central Illinois soon. Lots of areas around here have popped up just in last few weeks.
-
I didn't look at what phone u have, sorry about that. 3g is staying on 1900 and 800 will have 1x advance(voice only) Then 5x5 mhz for lte besides the southeast where southern linc is.
Ok. Thanks
-
Yes, many parts of the central Illinois market already have 800 CDMA live. It will be live over most markets to some degree by the end of the year if not sooner.Sent from my HTC ONE
Cool. How do I tell on iPhone 5 when it's 800 or 1900?
-
Yes!! But u will see LTE on 1900 and voice on 800 go live first. The first markets with 800 lte are Chicago and Michigan in the Samsung market that are going to go LTE. I Have heard by the end of the year is the target date for get all markets with LTE to have 800 lte. It is coming, got to be patience . Sadly something that no one has anymore lol
Ok cool. I was just meaning 800 for 3G. iPhone 5 doesn't support 800 lte
-
So will Peoria get 800mhz soon too since we're getting lte?
-
Speeds are very signal dependent. If you have a weak signal, you will get slow speeds. So in the sense that more of the area will be covered with stronger signals, it will be faster. But the actually speeds you get with a good signal will not increase. The max speed of Sprint's current LTE network in you area is 37.5Mbps. Once TD-LTE is active (sometime next year) if you have a Tri-Band device you will have access to speeds potentially approaching 90Mbps under good conditions.
Ok. That'll be nice! The new iphone 5s is not triband . So do we have AT&T for fiber here?

Got LTE by east Peoria Kroger today. It's slowly spreading
-
Ok. Thanks for this map. Pretty neat
I'll be updating the list later tonight or tomorrow.Sent from my HTC ONE

Peoria IL market has started becoming LTE
- 1
-
Yes, right now everyone that can connect is connecting to the only tower upgraded. Once a few more come up things will probably still be a bit slow as the same thing is going on. It will take nearly all of them to be live before things level off a bit as that was an iPCS market. iPCS markets are not known for having dense coverage.
Ok. Thanks for the info
-
You won't be on the list for a couple months at least. They won't launch until there is appreciable coverage, but as soon as sites are completed they will be live and available for use.
So will LTE be faster once it's totally done? Right now sometimes you get LTE sometimes not in exact same area
-
Well, we're not on this months list of new LTE markets, but Sensorly is showing more and more LTE signal in Peoria everyday.
Sure cant wait till its live. past year has been terrible for sprint service here. any idea how long it takes to complete a city this size?
-
How come these towers that are Periodically LTE around Peoria and surrounding towns aren't showing on map or network vision accepted sight?
-
Lots of LTE is starting to show up in Peoria IL area! finally here! (almost)
-
Hey everyone in Illinois market. I was over in El Paso (got married) and then went over to Galesburg and Knoxville. I had Sensorly running the whole time on my phone. Got 4G on US24 by Washington/Dee-Mac Road area as well. Got 4G in Knoxville (that's my one little blurb there south of 74 on the map) and east of Knoxville on 74. Not a damn thing in Galesburg. Never made it over to Monmouth or down to Macomb.
Hey congrats on wedding
-
When will Peoria IL area be all LTE?
-
I was near springfield road by route 98 near groveland IL. and picked up LTE just for a minute than it went back to 3G. they must be working on that tower
-
I just want lte here and decent coverage without losing calls or slow Internet
-
doesn't fiber have to be installed to run lte?
-
Awesome! cant wait for lte to finally get here
