  1. Whoa, not so fast. The MSM8974 (Snapdragon 800) internal baseband is the same as the standalone MDM9625 baseband, which is LTE Release 10 capable. Whether LTE Advanced features will ever be enabled in firmware, however, remains to be seen.

    that's what I thought also.

  2. Does anyone out there have any news for Appleton / Fox valley? We get little to no data, a lot of dropped calls and pushed to the extended network. I'm trying to hold out but after the storms the other day and really needing data I think for safety as well as fun reasons I might pay the ETL and go with Verizon. If you reply thanks

by the end of this year you should have most of the towers done.

  3.

I really hope we do not have to wait until Q4/4.3 ROM for the problem to be fixed. I have the same thoughts.

  4. As long as the Galaxy Note 3 stays the rumored 5.7 inch display, 1080p screen, Snapdragon S800 and triband LTE, I will be a buyer.

    I second that!

  5. I was at the truck stop yesterday and I wasn't getting LTE. My data profile is a little messed up though right now, can't connect to EVDO or 1x data... Ehrpd and LTE seem to work most of the time, but who knows.

I stopped at Timms Hill yesterday too and was able to get 1x 800 at the top of the observation tower. Kept going between that, 1900, and roaming on Verizon.

Any chance Sprint will deploy anything north of Tomahawk/Rhinelander ever? Roaming on Verizon is awful, was much better with Alltel (and I thought Verizon was supposed to honor the Sprint/Alltel evdo roaming agreement through 2015... It's been 1x for at least a year or two now).

I was up at three lakes the other day and was roaming I had evdo 3g the whole time off network. Went up 51 and came back down on 17. Even tho roaming is slower then the Sprint network is still useable.

  6. I noticed tonight that there is LTE in Rib Mountain by Sam's Club.

It's looking better every, I still can't believe that we are getting LTE so fast, it took forever to get 3G from Sprint.

the LTE out in rib mountain is coming from a site on top of 28th ave. That's been on for awhile now. And I see a few other sites that are ready to go live.
