  1. I don't know that I'd say that exactly; I interpret it as sort of the 'prelude to NV' from what Robert explained. Basically its a sign that the process has started, but the very beginning/initial stage of that process. Based on his latest update to my region it will probably be at least 3 more months before LTE is actually live here, if not more akin to 5. I'd be surprised to see LTE lit up here before the first towers and launch announcement for Nashville (city) proper anyway (though I'll be happy to be proven wrong on that assumption).

Edit: the above was in response to Kao, just to avoid confusion.

All I need at 2mb down & 1 up... I just want to tether & play battlefield 3. I'm glad it's begun tho... I thought ehrpd meant super speed compared to evdo

I miss unlimited data.( current ATT customers saving up to switch) Tier data is how they get you. I basically have to control my usage so I do not go over my cap. And shared data is how they are really going to screw people. Now instead of worrying about your own data, you gotta worry about the whole family.

That's what I'm saying... Its a clear trap! Yes, sprint sucks, but at least I don't worry about secret overage. Why should you have to share data anyways? That doesn't make sense to me at all

Big Red is only slightly evil. ATT invented evil. Also their coverage is not that great. Most of their map is still GSM/EDGE.

That is up to sprint if they decide to grandfather their customers. Tmobile did not grandfather customers, they just set a high cap(5Gbs). Of course, Tmobile then lowered it to 2Gbs for people who updated their plan in anyway. ATT originally grandfathered their customers, then followed Tmobile and set a high cap(3gb 3g/ 5gb lte). Verizon has let their customers keep unlimited, but at the cost of their subsidy.

Sprint will probably follow Tmobile and give grandfathered customers a high cap over grandfathering, then throttle them. Although, I believe Sprint will keep unlimited until Tmobile gives it up. I doubt they would want to let Tmobile have a huge differentiator.

You just taught me something then man lol. I definitely can't go to Verizon or ATT, I love unlimited and sometimes... I do use 6gb of data. The overage alone will kill me
  4. Ok guys, I usually use my phone to play battlefield late nights. I noticed that after the longest of times of running into evdo type connections with my Evo lte... I all of a sudden get something called ehrpd with the LTE enabled in network. When I change it to cdma only... It only says evdo! The speeds are also terrible with lte/cdma setting. Does this mean NV is somewhat underway or am I just being thrown on another tower or something?

  5. Why is there little to nothing out on the vast worldwide web about this popular glitch? I have had 3 HTC EVO 4Gs, 7 HTC EVO 3Ds, and 2 HTC EVO 4G LTE's. Only 1 (ONE) of the HTC EVO 3D's did NOT have this issue (it was a plum coloured later model EVO 3D).

NOTE: This happens to me 50-100 times a day WITHOUT any after factory apps installed (I tested it).

Why is there no solution?? Or even a recognition of this issue that is more annoying than a few inches of screen space being gone because of no menu button! :(

This is a MAJOR time waster to wait 5-10 seconds for Sense to reload almost EVERY time you hit home.. even RIGHT after a factory reset or a brand new replacement phone.

Please help! (And don't say root; I don't).

    Thanks!

mine doesn't reset that much but I have noticed this. I'm rooted, so I have to wait on update, but you're right. I don't remember that problem on the 3VO or OGVO tho! Maybe you just were super unlucky those times lol

    THIS!

When the USPTO allows stuff like the slide to unlock to be granted to apple when the feature was already being used in devices being sold when Apple APPLIED for the patent....things like that should never happen but they do every day evidently....

Oh no, you followed me here also?! When will the horror end
  7. Don't be all sensitive guys. We are all grown men, I assume, and I enjoy threads like this. Besides, there isn't much NV news left is it? All I care about is Memphis deployment anyways.

Don't bite me little baby >:(
