I live by foodco where fry's is area code 95834 do u knw about it
I think the tower is close to Fry's and it is pending a permit issue. I was just up there last weekend and I didn't see any physical work being done yet. I would expect work in the next 30-60 days in that area, though. If you're interested in tracking progress, the sponsor area of this site has a great map that is updated regularly with tower status.

Depending on the area you live in, there's either work in progress, or they're waiting for the permit to be issued. North Natomas has an issued permit and should probably start work soon if they haven't already, south Natomas is still pending permit issue.

Kiefer Blvd, Mather is down right by the 4G Accepted tower off Jackson Rd. This is 4G Signal from that tower.
That was my thought. Not a solid signal, just popped in and out a few times while I was sitting there. Nice.

Thats really nice, all i want to do this year is to be able to christmas shop in a store with my cell phone so i can call and or text my wife about certain items. I will be doing all the shopping since our 2nd kid is due in october and i dont feel like taking him to the crowded area stores for christmas shopping.
I also use my phone as a computer since i am a sysadmin and would love to be able to do that when im not on wifi.
I really love my phone but it just seems like its crippled by the service. Ive waiited a long tim for this and im glad the time is coming soon.
I am in the same boat with feeling like my phone is crippled. And congratulations on the new upcoming addition!

I believe it is on top of the parking structure. If I go on google maps I can't see where the tower is on 1501 R street in Sacramento.

Yeah, I know. My husband and son are going tomorrow night already. Hmmm....decisions, decisions.
At least it's a chance to go see the towers in West Sac. I very seldom head across the river unless it's to go to that awesome Indian restaurant by City Hall...

Let me know when you go, I have some vouchers I can redeem~ We can have a S4GRU-UCV meet!
Ha! I have free tickets from Supercuts. I let them cut my hair, they tell me to go to a few games.
There's already LTE at Raley Field.
I haven't been to a game yet with a phone that gets LTE. My bad... >.<

I saw some work being done in West Sac by Raley Field, close to West Capital Ave.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are the antennas at 1501 R Street the ones at the top of the parking structure at the RT station? Can we freely drive to the top, or is it controlled parking?

I was just surprised to see it because I don't expect much before October or November in midtown.Work on downtown will probably begin next month or the month after. It depends if the city can approve the permits it by the end of the month.

It is the first time I have seen it at k building downtown and I have heard of some signal at Cal Trans, too. Might come from West Sac, but it is still a little far. If I see it again, I will stand still and run Sensorly.Just saw your previous post on the last page in regard to it only lasting a minute.Sprint service is so abysmal right now that my buddy at work here and his entire family jumped ship to AT&T. He was excited for Sprint LTE but he just couldn't stand it anymore after all this time I guess.

Aww, it didn't post. Short minute of LTE signal at East End Complex in downtown Sacramento. I got a signal screenshot that I will post when I can. *happynerddance*

Anyone here picking up the new LG G2 phone?
First phone to support Sprint's tri-band network.
Not here. I just picked up the HTC One a few weeks ago, so I won't be upgrading again any time soon. I think it's awesome they got their tri-band phone out. Hopefully the service will follow soon after.

I have been told by many Sprint employees that absolute worse case scenario: UCV is completely live by the end of the year. But they are saying mid fall would be their anticipated time to expect LTE to be up and running in the market.Sprint guy said Modesto should be having LTE within 2 months or so and work has already begun.
Could be less. But Manteca needs a lot of work, my service there is awful. constantly roaming or at 1 bar since I can remember

I wish Rancho actually had an available list of permit issuances. Maybe I will try to go in soon and ask for just that. Not that I know of, yet. These permits cost a little more than a thousand dollars in fees out of the pockets of the applicant who are usually contractors themselves so they do have plenty of motivation to move. Plenty of permits are already at their mid lifes so it's only a matter of time until we see some substantial progress.

This is in Elk Grove? It is a ways away from me, but I have a good camera. I can try to get zoomed shots, but I have to find s time to drive down there.

I'm going to Natomas for a little bit after work. I'll do a Sensorly map and look at the tower near Fry's while I'm up there.

Oh, and welcome aboard. B-)

Inside of Target sucks regardless of where there is 4g service. But, I think I saw work in Ceres a week or so ago. There is work bein done throughout the county. The sponsor map might say more specifically.

That's been the case in a lot of areas that haven't had 4g acceptance yet. I had that at my work and at my kid's school last week and was excited, only to have it drop back down to 3g if I breathed wrong. The signals are being worked on.
On another note, I drove by the giant Sprint tower in Rancho just a few minutes ago and didn't see any work at the actual tower, but there was a lift parked on the street very nearby that hasn't been there before. Since it's the weekend, I'm hopeful it is being used on the tower, since it is in progress. Joyous day had by all...at least in Rancho.
