I'm kinda confused by the number of 51, 000 sites just because they have a small footprint then sprint (38, 000 sites) with about the same fq spectrum dumb why to look at it I know lol...

So in burlington wi 800 is live the coverage increase is night and day... but its very unrealible switchs back to pcs even when signal is unusable and I have never seen it hand off from 1900 to 800 without droppin. I know its the beginning so it can only get better I'm excited!

My fone has found 1x800! In burlington wi. More near the lyons side. Don't know wat tower but my mom just got an airave a week ago and now it will be pointless lol! XD

Yep here some places have huge holes where there is no service at all even with att lol

Hmm compare even the coverage maps. In wisconsin tmobile has native hspa in doesn't reach any central part of the state. Sprint has 3g everywhere mosty they have 3g and up here I really don't experience the bogging down because so few people up here I think.

They don't have any sub-1 GHz anywhere. No one can afford to build 10x - or whatever the factor is - as many towers as ATT to match what sub-1 GHz spectrum can do.

Sprint did a decent job with pcs...

Only time I've really noticed my 1x data completely time out is while roamin... its really slow but useable. And here in wi tmobile might as well not exist with how bad their coverage is with 80% of it being roaming its kinda sad.

I live on west grand and 15th so really close and been droppin calls and texts like a mofo at home with good signal... randomly droppin to roaming when a week ago I was just fine. -.-

And haven't noticed any 4g in rapids at all lol.

Okay I know this is wishful thinkin I know... but at home I usaully have anywhrre from -75 dBm to like -85 dBm... that's a pretty damn strong signal... but for the last week I've been jumpin in and out of roamin a lot... confirmed it isn't just my fone because 2 other sprint lines will roam as well and a virgin mobilw phone says no service... sprint is getting my hopes up with announcing lte in comin months for rapids... lol there's already 4g in nekoosa on my way to the casino! Haha

I see I see. Does anyone know how far smr 1x will travel? Nv might screw up my battery life at work if I go from roamin with mobile data off to having fringe signal. I don't know how far in comparison it will travel because is some areas I connect to fringe 1900 but idk how 800 will effect this.

Just curious will there be any nv protection sites caused by 800 smr? Where nextel had coverage where sprint does not? And if so will sprint ever expand its footprint in those areas? Or really anywhere? I know sprint atleast for the next couple years will be overhauling their whole network to try to compete in its existing footprint buti don't care what anyone says roaming just isn't the same as native. Just got a new job just outside sprints coverage and trying to drive and talk is almost impossible sometimes.

Yep same here. Kinda brighten up my mind with sprints network. This forum has actually done wonders for me. Probabky the only reason I have my own plan on sprint and why my mom has kept sprint.

Verizon and uscellular both have 1x as indicators... so saying sprint isn't trying to deceive the average user is kinda hard to say... and on top of this it just makes

Sprints evdo look even worse... and me in north wisconsin have a lot of areas where I'm only on 1x but never would have known without this forum lmao. But now I know why some areas where I thought I was connected to a good "3g" signal and I wasn't. And here with the low population sprints 3g isn't half bad so yoy can really tell the difference if your a user.

And plus those are evdo speeds have nothing to do with the topic at hand. Lol

Then why does sprint advertise 3g speeds between 500kps-2.5 peaks... I know even their evdo doesn't reach those speeds but curious. Lol 

I just use signal check to check. And I know it doesn't... but its comparable is it not? And is there a way to get indicators for your notification bar for 1x? Cuz that would be awesome.

I've noticed this too. Only on uscell tho. I think its because if I remember right uscell is only a 1x roamin partner (even though your phone will say 3g no idea why...) but I found to fix atleast my problem is I live mobile data off unless I using it... (I have the s3)

Okay, so I bought my boyfriend a new sg2 for virgin its great... well this money money was kinda tough

So we couldn't pay his bill... but his fone still connects to 3g... its not a complete conection almost like it connects then boots him off. But he is about to surf the web, use internet apps... only thing I've noticed that doesn't work is making an internet call, off of textplus cuz it will cut off... any explainations? Btw this has been going on for 2 months now lol.
