  1. The only thing holding me back is the nexus 5 camera (which I know is being fixed with 4.4.1). I am very picky about my camera and absolutely love the low-lighting of the One which is 85% of my pictures. I know, it's kinda dumb especially since making and taking calls is more important than a picture most of the time.
  2. When on Innovative cable Google thinks I am in Port of Spain. They think my static IP might have been owned by a different ISP before. It's okay right now but I have had calendar issues in the past and it was a meeting with a google rep. I go running on the road over lindquist. I barely get a 3G signal when i am right at the edge. Must be that hill above Red Hook again blocking the signal. Still have zero signal in my house I'm still mad about having virtual no 3g or 4g working signal in san juan during the half marathon last month. Wife's samsung galaxy s3 never skipped a beat. signal would fade in and out more than usual in Chicagoland (northern suburbs) last week It's nice to see a consistent 4g signal in places that were lacking before both here and on the mainland but with their extensive gaps in coverage it makes it really difficult to do certain things in a moving vehicle. You can only change your cellular settings so many times without going bonkers.
  3. I still have no signal in my house and this is my speedtest this morning from the airport. https://db.tt/pQAdv068 On. A more positive note I got my replacement phone. The HTC backup didn't restore correctly but at least the phone works.
  4. Screen is becoming unresponsive in certain areas. This time It is the top so it is very difficult to pull down the notifications. This started on Monday and as of today the issues are working it's way down the screen. My first HTC One phone had the lower right corner become unresponsive and with my 2nd one the battery never climbed higher than 47%. I'm not sure what I can do differently to avoid these issues.
  5. No sprint and no innovative internet both dsl and cable at the house this morning. Thought I would head to the Sprint store to have them look at now my 3rd HTC one phone. Screen is starting to die again. This is a speed test next to the Sprint store. https://db.tt/PqKnfzbg
  6. Still no reception(no data at all) at my house above the armoury nor 4g at the Seaborne marine terminal.
  7. 1 bar inside of walgreens. Manager office had a full signal. https://db.tt/7Ld1davY
  8. Never thought I would see 4g before Christmas. I have it at walgreens.
  9. It doesn't really matter now but I thought Vieques was getting LTE? I couldn't even get a data signal over the weekend.. 1 bar or roaming and that was all I could get on Vieques.
  10. This is frustrating. I'm gone for 3 weeks and after a week back I am back to pre-NV reception on the east end and now at the airport? This sucks. I got work to do!
  11. First I need to say thank you. I had no idea my HTC One could be unlocked. I just got it unlocked for my trip to Europe. Now, I don't have to buy another phone. Second, we keep 2 Sprint, 1 AT&T and a prepaid Innovative phone in the house. They all suck to some extent. Even Innovative had an outage yesterday. One doesn't live in the VI for the great infrastructure, efficient government (btw, how is our broke government still buying new SUV's?..don't answer that) or great customer service. Just deal with the problems and not stress out about it. You're in the Caribbean and not Chicago. It is what it is. Lastly, people need to live in more areas before berating the 1 or 2 areas they have lived in. It's a bit offensive. I get much better reception with my 3 phones here than I do with those exact same phones in parts of Louisana. We had to take our trash to a dumpster while living in Alpharetta, GA ..a high end suburb of Atlanta Have you ever lived in or near an inner city of a REAL town? The crime here is nothing compared to some cities I have lived in. Education - well at least they are trying to improve the public schools here instead of trying to shut them down like in some metro areas in the US. Now I will get off my soapbox and go back to work on my 1 meg DSL connection. Thank you once again about the unlocking info!
  12. If you are driving past the armoury heading away from red hook it does look like it is West but in fact it is directly due North of the High School. I guess Choice must own it then.
  13. Here is the pic of the tower (the tower on the right with 2 guys on it) being worked on 2 weeks ago. You can't see it in the picture but there is a big spindle of cable to the right of the tower. May 23rd I took this pic. Innovative is 100% GSM...I use them for prepaid.
  14. My issues are on the East End and at Tutu today. I didn't get any calls when I was in town yesterday.
  15. Hopefully this info is helpful to someone on the VI. I am now on day 3 of no one being able to call my phone. Phone rings, I can hear them but they can't hear me. They only hear an echo of their own voice. Long story short - Sprint in Puerto Rico tried to force my phone to use another tower via an update but that seems to not have worked yesterday. Today I called again and they said they are still working on the towers and still may not be done as of tomorrow. What I really wish was I would have known about calling Puerto Rico first instead of wasting my time with standard Sprint Tech support. The number for Carib Care is 877-859-9696. At least they could tell me what was going on instead of being told there are no issues in my area. 2 weeks ago I did take a picture of them working on the tower close to my house - above the armoury. They were only up there for 1 day and I have not seen them since. It's an extremely frustrating trying to conduct business when no one can call you on your main line.
