Had that issue this morning. It's pretty annoying but doesn't seem to happen that often.

Everyday for me... My nexus 5 and 7... Because the campus here is thick concrete. No one has signal or barely

I'm curious myself. I see this changed everytime I do a PRL or Profile update. But with my short sample size, I do notice better coverage in global. My guess is "LTE (Recommended)" is baked into the Google rom, and "Global" is default for Sprint with their network (hence the change from Sprint network type updates). But that's only my guess.
simple... it recognizes the simcard...

...and after rereading my post... The innuendo was not intended... But equal to it I guess tooI personally do not see why people are talking class action over a software update. Where were these people when the locked to boot loader on the photon and put android 2.3.5?
Guys need to chill a bit... Do you want t a fast release and poor experience or slow release and better experience?

I think there was a malicious purpose to the wait...
the S5 and the M8 are both LTE advanced phones and so is the nexus... why release spark on an LTE advance phone when they can maximize sales on 2 LTE advance and upgrade an older one later.
there isnt any lte advance service out yet... but it does offer much better speed allowance over cat 3 lte
of course im just referencing this...
CATEGORY 1 2 3 4 5
Downlink 10 50 100 150 300
Uplink 5 25 50 50 75

The just announced the smart watch today... So maybe an update within 2 weeks to 4.4.3

You always pay for the phone, with unlimited data option you can get a new phone after only paying 12 of the 24 payments.
this is where i think sprint financial thinks people are getting a good deal when they are not
for example... the price on GS4 is 600 dollars at that time... so your paying payments of 12 months so 300 dollars or so... plus add that taxes on the total bill
vs... 600 for the brand new phone... own it for a year... and they sell now for roughly 350 dollars resale with 1 tax payment

what about cat 3 vs cat 4? the reason i ask is because i dont know if it will make a difference when it comes to upgraded speeds in the future.
my s4 broke and using my photon till insurance reinburses me... but i dont know if i should go s5 or lg g2.
i liked the nexus but the battery life wasnt what i hoped for.

So i wanted to ask... i noticed when i owned the nexus 5 for a brief period... that data while calling didnt work, but now with snapdragon 801 it has cat 4 LTE and VoLTE possibilities...
so... with the samsung s5... does this mean data while calling?
also... is there any significant difference between cat 4 and cat 3 LTE?

I wasn't able to get engineering shots. I was on a bus trying this and it was going over 70mph. I don't think Miami had 800smr but I did get 1900. I tried to get 2.5ghz but I think it was going to fast to keep a steady connection

OK you have to do *#*#3282#*#*
Go to LTE
Click edit
Enter your msl
And click enable. Make sure your matching priority 1 on all 3
When all that is done... Do *#*#72786#*#* and that will reset your profile for assurance.
Tried it in Miami. Its not ready yet for prime time
**if I helped you... Then help me become sponsor so I can see what towers are upgraded for optimum usage

LOL... THIS IS A MUST READ....
i have a theory of why cocoa got slammed with LTE goodness first instead of orlando.
heres my article back in 2010 when i lived in cocoa, across the street from Brevard Community College on Clearlake rd

As far as I can tell, there is no entry in the Guinness Book for amount of data consumed by a person in a month. So I'm creating a very unofficial, tongue-in-cheek, yet highly prestigious and chock full of nerd cred World Record for Data Use on a Mobile Device. The bragging rights go to (the envelope please) jonathanlc2005 from our very own forums, with a total usage for one month of 52.663 Gigabytes!
Be fully aware that jonathan IS paying for the Sprint Hotspot, so before anyone pulls a Kanye and jumps in, do the math -- 52 GB @ $30.00 isn't abusing anything, except maybe Jonathan's wallet. Think you can beat the record? Grab a screen cap of your total data usage for the month, or a pic of the relevant portion of your bill (be sure to edit out any personal info please!) and send it to me. No cheaters, so that means no unofficial WiFi hotspot or tether apps from the Market. We don't want to give the carriers any more ammo to use against us. For now, feel free to head over and congratulate jonathan on his hard work!
as soon as i saw that sensorly map with cocoa highlighted... i laughed. your welcome cocoa

congrats to those getting LTE, but what i want to know is the tower outside FIU(university park)... they have one one side of FIU (tamiami) and the other (westchester), we can only get LTE if we go off the campus or up on the 8th floor of the library. thats how freaking close we are to LTE. can anyone chime in?

This is bull. I can't stand it anymore that I can't use my phone at this place because there is no signal and my WiFi constantly locks up.
I really tried not to complain but this update is really needed for me because its unusable. I hoped before 1st quarter (April 1st), then the 14th, 21st, and now we don't know when. It could be the 24th but who knows... It could be may 15th.
