"For all the complainers out there..."

    Yes, these people.

Being the face of sub-par Sprint service 50+ hours a week has really taken it's toll over the last year or so. Constantly telling people to be patient and promising them (because I truly did believe it) that Sprint was putting in the work, spending the money and making things happen. I've had people scream, freak out, swear, attack me personally, all because they felt they weren't getting what they were paying for.

And honestly, as a Sprint consumer, I would sometimes agree. Customer care handled this terribly. I'm not saying they should have made promises but I know from experience that they just didn't have the enthusiasm they should have when discussing what was right around the corner.

Any one that is still complaining about Sprint is quickly becoming a minority. Every day I receive phone calls asking me why their phone says LTE at the top? Even some of the worst critics in this area have started to come around. No matter how long its taking to get to YOUR house you have to admit that you can see the progression and improvement daily.

Its been a struggle, it will continue to be a struggle, but for anyone that doubts that Sprint has gone to lengths to bring us a new and vastly improved network experience can bite my shiny, metal, ass.

Now I'm off to practice being (even more of) an elitist prick. ELITE 8 BABY!

  2. I meant to post yesterday... "27 LTE accepted towers in the Rochester market". As always, this is just something I heard around the water cooler. Personally, I believe it when the S4GRU acceptance reports tell me I can.

EDIT- Glancing at the map I suppose we already have 20+ accepted LTE sites in the market so it's actually not news. Unless they meant NEW.

  3. I have this discussion with customers quite often. Please keep in mind that for $11 a month its not JUST insurance. That includes service and repair as well.

The market I work in is mostly people living comfortably within their means and the piece of mind is what they don't mind paying for.

Personally, I find that putting a little more effort into ensuring my phone is always "safe" beats the monthy/yearly cost of TEP.

  4. This may be due to eCSFB issues discussed in this article. I was under the impression that they were aware of the problem and making sure it didn't happen in newly developing markets however, so you'll have to keep us up to date on how you fare.

In a Samsung market, they can only do CSFB one site at a time, unfortunately.

I've been able to connect to, and hold, LTE in Greece and Henrietta. After some fudging around yesterday I was able to connect to the LTE in Webster but not hold it.

Is it possible that this one site is affected by the mentioned issue and not the others?

Can anyone determine which tower is actually broadcasting the LTE signal in Webster?

A customer yesterday mentioned he's been getting spotty LTE in Williamson as well.

  5. If I did the math right...

If you had 2 groups, each with 4 phones, either already upgraded or currently eligible (before the 10th)... Each line gets a new $600 phone with $100 down and pays sales tax. Each line would be $25 plus $21 a month (phone payment). I know I'd need the 3GB plan for an additional $10 bringing my monthly total to aprox $56 plus tax.

Even when I say it out loud I still get confused.

  8. You pretty much said anybody buying an Android is an idiot. Well, you didn't quite say that but I knew you were thinking it. :)

The best part is that I still carry an Android phone HAHAHAHAHAHA

Someday when Apple allows its users to have a bigger screen and a little more freedom inside the software I'll be just another idiot.

  9. Yes, I bought my wife and daughter's iPhones there .. bought my S4 elsewhere, though you tried to say how much better iOS devices are than Android, I prefer Android myself.

I stopped by this week when I had the problem to see if you guys knew about it.

Did I try to say it or did I flat out say it? LOL

I stick by my decision to support iOS as the more stable, more intuitive OS.

I was actually sick the day service went down so I didn't get the reports until the issue was already resolved.

More importantly... No new acceptance reports? Im over this...
