  1. I know the LTE is not on at the site on the VA building on Assembly yet. But they did turn it on the Claire Towers Site that covers in to the vista.
  2. Yes. Where I have been getting solid 4g, only 3g on and off.
  3. I thought that was for 800 LTE. Its clearly states in the Specsheet that the HTC One will do CDMA 1x at 800.
  4. So I am not seeing any 800 on my HTC One in the areas of Columbia that are supposed to have 800. I am using Signal Check pro with the stock 4.4.2 ROM. Any ideas?
  5. New RRU's and Antennas installed at the site behind Walgreens on Forest dr. OLD Modcell 2.0 BTS STILL in place. Forest Acres really needs some love. New antennas and RRU's also Spotted on V.A Building on Assembly, and also on the one of the Buildings on the Campus of Allen University.
  6. According to the ALCALU tech, CR04AW334 which is on Avondale Drive, North of Downtown Columbia will have LTE turned up within the next 3 hours!! I also noticed New RRU's mounted to the site at the intersection of forest and Beltline. Although the old cabinet and antennas are still active. Also, A crew is currently upgrading the site Downtown Columbia on the VA building on Assembly street. Cant wait for all this LTE! I have no clue why my text looks like this.
  7. So, The tower behind Chick Fil A on Harbison Blvd is on and Transmitting LTE. However, sitting outside the Sprint store at the top end of Harbison near St. Andrews, Looking STRAIGHT AT the damn site and 0 LTE with my HTC One... WTF! Sprint has got to get their act together!!
  8. Any Idea when they are going to Upgrade/Replace the old cabinet at Forest dr. and Beltline and on top of the V.A building down town on Assembly?
  9. Yep... Sprint is on the monopole behind the Jeep dealership. Along with everyone else.
  10. I have been under a tower that is 4G live, and its still 15db lower than 1X/DO. For instance, The Gaston Cell site is almost an island, and LTE coverage is way smaller than its legacy footprint. This means spotty LTE even at launch except in the core where cells are closer in. As far as the Backhaul, Obviously our techs here in Columbia don't know their equipment and whether fiber or T1's are hooked up to them.
  11. This site does not have LTE active currently. Actually its been down since Friday due to T1 level errors. Why would he lie to me? He said that hardly any of the active LTE in columbia is using Fiber as there is an issue. Dukenet just sold out to TWT, so contracts have to be re negotiated. He said most of the LTE sites are up on multiple T1's. I was at the site with him in his Ericsson truck. I used to work for Ericsson maintaining the sprint and Nextel networks here in SC since 2000. I am sure he knows and i know what we are talking about folks.
  12. Spoke to an Ericsson Tech last night. It seems for our Market, Most Fiber (Backhaul) is not ready. Therefore the sites that are running LTE are still running on T1 circuits. And Thats the reason why the LTE is typically 15dm less than DO and 1X coverage. Once the more capable backhaul is integrated, the power will be turned up on the LTE to match the existing site coverage.
  13. Correct.. Many sites in the core of columbia are NOT on the map, And some out in the burbs... Look at the map of columbia.. zoom in.. the town is bare.. Forest and beltline, assembly on the va building... The one by me on avondale....Graystone... Bush river... Claire towers.. Five points... By the stadium.... Vista.... Risley rd... Allen University.. 126 and huger.....Weco by S Brown Street...Timberlake.. I could go on.....
  14. I dont know who Robert is. Sorry. Last few weeks the updates were very good. Still, no one can answer why so many sites are missing from the Columbia Market.... Not trying to piss anyone off, just asking.
  15. Look like LTE is up in and around the Graystone Blvd area of Columbia... Not that you would know it from S4GRU as #1 The site isn't even on their map and #2 The map is 3 days old. smh
  16. The one by Chilis on Harbison is NOT doing 4G yet. Kinley rd is by the new hospital. It connects Lake Murray Blvd with Broad River. I use signal Check Pro and you can tell by the RSSi from the LTE. Its usually about 15db less than the 1X and EHRPD if they are coming from the same antenna.
  17. Its True... Kinley Rd site is on air 4G and the one by the Dam is now 4G. Also spotted tower crews at the site by Wally World on Bush river.
  18. Cool if its true! I'm heading to Irmo in a bit from Down Town. I'll check too.
  19. You may be "hill topping" from the site behind CeCe's Pizza on St Andrews. ATC Leisure.
  20. tower in Columbia SC by the Lake Murray Dam Definitely does not have 4g yet... it is showing yellow on the map.. Where are you getting the information from? Also, there are a bunch of sites missing in the core of Columbia SC. Are they ever going to be on this map?
  21. The Tower in North Blythewood is definitely broadcasting LTE. As for forest drive... Down near Ft Jackson gate i get strong 4g.
  22. I have been noticing, In Columbia on my HTC one, that 1X and DO are very consistent on the downlink. But LTE seems to be around 10 - 15 db less than either of the old technologies.. This could lead to some very spotty LTE once the market is fully deployed...
  23. Are you sure you are not hitting 4G from the site that we know is live on 26 by Piney Grove?
  24. That's the New 4.0 for CDMA on the left.. Its been there for a month or 2. The new cabinet will be a 4x4x1 box on an H frame. I did see the tower crew on that site earlier this week. You can also see the new RRU's under the sprint antenna line.
  25. They are currently working on the site on Avondale Rd in Keenan Terrace, near Burger King on N Main. Yesterday they hung 2 panels and RRU's. Today they are working on the 3rd set. The Lucent cabinet was just swapped out a few months ago from a Compact to a full blown 4.0.
