  1. I don't know why that tower was ever marked in progress. As far as I could tell there was never any evidence that it was actually in progress. It definitely doesn't have the panels for NV up yet, but I feel like this is the same crew I saw down on Rt 4 in Hamilton the week of valentines day.

I'll be keeping an eye on it daily this week.

  2. There are guys up on top the tower today in Bridgewater Falls area (129 and Byp 4). I didn't get back here to post, but the last time I posted about a truck up there it turned out to be AT&T.

I believe they're up on the sprint rack, so hopefully we'll see some new panels up this week.

  3. I was receiving a lte signal on Millville ave. this morning between Washington and Ross ave. Hamilton getting some love!

Been like that for a while. It's just coming from one of the towers out near new mymammi or trenton.

I noticed some guys up at the tower at Bridgewater Falls (bypass 4 and 129). It wasn't clear what they were doing, no one on the tower but that was around 11am this morning. Hopefully they're working on sprint but there are quite a few carriers on that tower so until we see some antennas going up, no way to know.

  4. Any recommendations for dual (or tri) WAN routers that can consistently load balance (not simple failover) between dis-separate (cable vs dsl) internet connections, and support USB or WIFI wan's?

I am not looking for 'bonded' wan connections, but something that can distribute individual loads over the least loaded/fastest connection at the time.

    Without the complexity of pfsense/etc.

I once had a need for this. I used pfsense as back then I couldn't find any solutions that weren't costly. I still use pfsense though and really don't find it all that complex.

  5. I can't tell if it's Sprint or not. I just thought it was interesting. Sorry about the poor photo quality. It's the best I can do while at work.

    P.S. I'm new here.

Well, the Omniplex Dr address wasn't familiar to me, but I've already reported this site as upgraded on Nov 14th in the report sites thread that is in the sponsors section.

    For those who are sponsors:

It's next to impossible to tell from the pic provided, however, it sorta looks like maybe they are working on the lower rack (there is a big black thing just below the second rack). Sprint is on the top rack.

I'm up in Columbus but you can go take a look yourself and post pics too......

If they are working on the sprint rack, then maybe they are taking down legacy panels. I'm not terribly interested in going out there since I know that tower has been upgraded for some time anyhow

I had no idea Signal Check Pro gave an address until I saw your screenshot! Should have spent the $2 a long time ago.

Yeah, usually it does, but sometimes they're not right/off.

  6. I hope either productive post or banning come sooner rather than later. It's beyond annoying to get notifications on my phone just so I can read some tired post rife with little girl whining.

I've actually gone through the trouble of visiting sites, taking pictures and posting them in the in progress thread so they'd be marked on the sponsor maps. I've posted about towers being upgraded here in this thread, as have a few others.

Progress is happening. But some people, instead of helping out by staking out their local towers and taking pics, want to bore everyone else to tears with their crying.

    It's really enough already.

  7. It could be a multitude of reasons. Signal propagation isn't as simple as: A half mile in one direction I get signal, but in the other I don't.  Terrain, trees, buildings are all going to have an effect on the signal.

Further, the antennas used on a cell phone tower are quite directional. So it could be an alignment problem, or the sector that points in your general direction just isn't pointed in a good enough direction for you to get the signal in the location you want it.

Sometime they don't even point towers in all directions from the tower itself. Are you certain there is a sprint sector pointed in your general direction?

  8. Nope. I drive by that tower often enough, but it's so far back off the road behind someones house on their private property there is no way to see the base equipment or even if there are trucks up there.

So the only way anyone would have been able to see if anyone was up there would have been to see them up on the tower.

The only tower in Hamilton that doesn't have the Samsung antennas installed is the one on rt4 behind the old Hollywood Video.
