  1. I know this is off topic, but I couldn't find a good forum to post this under. So I'm posting this under the most active forum to get maximum exposure.

I'll be switching over to Sprint this week. I want to know of any discounts that Sprint has other than military or employee discounts. Do they have senior citizen or credit union discounts?

    Thanks

  2. I hope Charlotte gets an upgrade. Was at CIAA back in late Feb and my coverage in the city was attrocious. I had absolutly no reception in buildings. Yes the city was gridlocked but my friends who had verizon was still able to use thier phones while i was left in the dark having to go outside to get any coverage.

I didn't recieve text until hours later

I think Charlotte is in the second round for LTE so it should be getting it soon. Here is the upgrade info for 3G/voice https://network.sprint.com/search/charlotte%2C+nc/

  3. There needs to be regulation on how companies call themselves best at whatever. In Japan it is different. If Epson says they are #1 in making quality printers it means they really are #1 and other companies won't go around saying they are #1. At one of my other jobs we had a big client in Japan. They would compare our products to others over in Japan and they would market it accordingly. If our product wasn't as good as the others they wouldn't claim to be the best or #1.

  4. If they include all the LTE bands in the iPhone 5, then they have no reason to overcharge everyone again in 6 months when they release the iPhone 5s, which will include all LTE bands. Follow the money.

Just an FYI. Apple's release cycle is at least 12 months.

  5. I really like the Sprint 4GLTE logo so I really hope Sprint uses the 4GLTE logo in the future phones. Its just that the wireless carriers have butchered the 4G term so it would be nice to let people that are not tech saavy know that the phone is connected via 4G LTE vs. 4G Wimax. I really like the Verizon 4G LTE logo and I don't think the Sprint 4G LTE logo would take up too much room on the top of the phone since the text doesn't have too big.

Do you have some pics of the LTE logo you are talking about?

  6. OK, so this might not be the right place to ask... but...

Is there ANY plans for a 4G network in Charleston, SC? It is WELL into the top 56 million (sorted by population) that should receive LTE in 2012. This link shows all the number-crunching:

I have already been burned once, being first in line for an EVO 4G and never getting WiMax... so here i am doubting my decision to pick up an EVO 4G LTE.

    Any news at all?

If you need a new phone get the EVO 4G LTE. But I would wait a couple months to see how the LTE rollout is working for everyone else.
