Looking at a new blip on Sensorly in Granite City, Near Rte 3 & Pontoon Rd. That wasn't there last night. could be coming from the flag pole site behind the Goodwill, or from the Riverview & 270 site.
I caught a glimpse of LTE at IL-157 & I-270 this morning. I assume that it was coming from Riverview & I-270. That's an awfully long way to go, but I suppose it's possible going from bluff to bluff.

This is Missouri Bottom Road and 270, Hazelwood MO. It has new cabinets, panels, & RRU's:

I check out the 370 and Parker site almost every week when I go get cigs at CVS(cheapest place in STL). That's the one I took pics of when they were installing Clear Antennas in March. I have also been to the one in Blackjack several weeks ago. Doesn't look like I will be able to do that until the waters recede.
OK, I didn't see any comments in the MO spreadsheet on those sites, so I didn't think anyone had been up there. But hey, the more eyes on the sites, the better.

Took a tour of some of the North County sites yesterday:
Clocktower Place (W. Flourissant & 270), Florissant MO
New Halls Ferry & Parker, Florissant MO
Behind Blackjack City Hall, Blackjack MO
370 & Parker, Florissant MO
Parker & Bellefontaine, Spanish Lake MO
No new panels at any of them. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a good ground look at any of the sites to look for cabinets. However there was a truck w/ trailer and crew at the Blackjack site. They were too busy and I was too late to chat with them. I should have gotten a better look at the truck, but I think it said "Horizon Wireless" or something like that. I'll go back when I get a chance...

Serving CELL for the Riverview & 270 site:
@ the Phillips 66 station on lilac & 270: 476
@ the MO welcome center across 270 from the tower: 138
@ the east end of the chain of rocks bridge: 307
Those seem to make sense.

New sensorly blips 170 & 64
Things are really lighting up today. I wasn't paying attention as I drove through Troy IL this morning. Maybe they've fired up all that new hardware that's been sitting at my home site for a while. I can only hope...
-
LTE Engineering?
Forgot the secret code to get in.
I'll re-memorize and grab them as I can. Unless someone else grabs them first.
-
Picked up LTE while crossing the Chain of Rocks bridge this morning. Fired up Sensorly & drove as close to the site at Riverview and 270 as I could. I was going to check that site out today, anyway. Didn't want to hang around that area much, nor did I want to drive up the scary-looking lane that lead to the site. Snapped a quick pic which I'll post later, then drove around just a little bit more to map it out. My points are already on Sensorly, if you zoom way in.

And speaking of boots on the ground, I visited two sites yesterday.
One at Little Hills Expressway and Boschertown in St Charles, just behind Just Corvettes. No Progress.
The one on Ellis Road east of St. Jacob IL, however:
Has panels:
But no cabinets:
I'll post these in the Report In Progress Sites Here thread.
I've also noticed that Riverview and I-270 is looking promising. Maybe I'll take a closer look when I get a chance...
-
FYI, those In Progress sites are due to the permits that I found.
Not sure that I like calling things In Progress with just a permit. To me it's not in progress until there are Boots on the Ground. Before then, everything is just talk. (Your opinion may vary.)
I suppose it does let everyone see where progress might soon be made on the map.

Holy cow, that is awesome! I assume it was not broadcasting?
Never picked up LTE anywhere close to there. I may have seen eHRPD on the LTE Discovery app while going through town but I'm not sure. I'll have to check on the way home. Would that mean anything?
Anyway, I'll keep my eyes open and my phone on.

This morning, I swung by the closest site to my house to take a look around. It's in Troy IL at South Hickory St. Saw some very interesting things:
These look like new Ericsson cabinets, from all the descriptions on these forums.
Stickers on the cabinets have the Site ID. The Site ID is Sprint-specific, right? No other carrier would use that specification?
These look like they might be new NV panels. Anyone with more experience spotting these want to chime in?
Also saw some disturbed ground around where the backhaul comes into the site.

Got confirmation from the guys working just now! Cabinets are going to be done todayand tower work next week! This is going to be very exciting! Collinsville, IL st peter and paul cemetery!
Crews working at a site in Godfrey, IL behind mid america gymnastics. They were running fiber and digging. Worker confirmed they were running fiber for Sprint! Keep your eyes to the sky and the ground Metro East!
Good to see some actual work being done in the Metro East.
Hopefully, these under construction sites are like cockroaches, for every one you see, there are ten others you don't.
I'll have to start watching the towers along my commute a little more carefully...

I have a good feeling about today St. Louis!
Is that just a gut feeling, or do you have some juicy insider information?
-
Anybody notice the purple on Sensorly at the south I-255 bend near Columbia, IL? New tower gone active? Has LTE finally made it to the Metro East?

Can anyone confirm that this is Sprint work?
DaQue has stated previously that the flagpole at McDonnell and Lindbergh is a Sprint tower. Not sure if any other carriers use the site or not.
-
More work on the flagpole at McDonnell and Lindbergh yesterday. Bucket lift up to the top of the tower with some lines extending down to the ground. Plain white van with a trailer parked next to it.
Now this morning I see they have all the covers off, and all the equipment at the top of the tower is clearly visible. Couldn't slow down for a closer look, though.
-
I zipped past this site on 270 on my way to work this morning. I always wondered why that gigantic flagpole was there...
Anyway, the access panel is still off, and I could see the antenna inside. I was driving too fast to see any details, though. No trucks or other ground activity that I could see.
There were two guys in a bucket truck working on the "flag pole" near 270 & McDonnell this morning. Is this even a Sprint tower? Seems awfully close to the tower at 270 & Lindburgh.
-
It's not to the point where I would post it in the work in progress thread because I don't know if it has anything to do with NV or not but the monopole site near McDonnell and I-270 has a cover off facing 270 and it is a Sprint tower.
https://maps.google....2,0.002411&z=19
The panels visible are not yet NV.
Maybe commuters in the area could keep an eye on it.

Nope. I just happened to have LTE Discovery open this morning in passive mode. Got a chime that it detected LTE, but it was gone before I could open Sensorly. And I don't even think about messing with the LTE debug screen @ 75mph! (Remember folks, driving is always the #1 priority.)
