Interestingly most of kcmo and kck is under the sprint spark Turbo (hatched pattern) in the sprint coverage map. Though Turbo is not what we seem to be getting. Poked my head outdoors in this rain, alas the band 41 gods have forsaken waldo area.

Got the new 4.4.3 KTU84M update today and lo and behold I now get band 26 in this old house where even wifi has a hard time traversing. Getting about 7-8mbps indoors vs 1-2 previously.
Anyone seeing a "sun" burst icon they have been talking about on the other forums? I have seen none, though haven't latched on to the succulent teet of band 41.

Anyone get HD Voice working? The video sprint showed was pretty impressive and both my SO and I have compatible phones but have yet to experience HD Voice. Apparently there is an announcement coming as well ...soon.

Is spark online yet in kansas city, just got the Nexus 5 and eager to try it out.

Is a modded PRL no longer needed to force the handset to prefer 1x 800? I am using the OTA PRL update.

So that's what Google Fiber looks like. Can I borrow some of your bandwidth?
To your question, yes it will use 1x 800 for voice and text and LTE for data. Though I always use WiFi calling when I am home, works better than a low 1x signal.
What app do you use for wifi calling. I have ooma at home which works well with google fiber, but I imagine it would be helpful to have wifi calling right from the cell.

Since both Htc One and SGS4 are single band lte phones for sprint, I gather both should have similar performance in KCK and KCMO? Who knows how battery life will hold up.

No kids. Would like to be close to school (<20 mins drive if possible) to Kansas U Med School. Would like to have decent LTE, google fiber, 2 car garage. Ideally would prefer an updated house. ideally a quiet neighborhood would be good. Sirens and gunshots can be distracting while studying
I don't get a lot of time to cook so nearby fast food joints are always good to have.
Would be moving this summer, Olathe may take a while to get hooked up.

So I am planning to move to Kansas City soon and have some noob q's. According to the sensorly map, most of the coverage appears to be concentrated around the major highways with pockets of weak signal centrally. Are you guys getting good signal in the Kansas City Metroplex (both KS and MO side?). I would ofcourse be signing up for google fiber as well and looks like I need to stay primarily in the MO side for that. I'll atleast save on sales tax on Amazon The crime map seems to get warmer further into the city. I'm guessing the south side would be better.

Finally got band 41 driving around KCK near I-435 and stateline. However, even though DEBUG says I am on band 41, signal check says I am band 26. Seems to be a bug with the latest version of signal check and 4.4.3. I notified blue, let's see what happens.
Used the new spark service indoors at several locations and this whole spark thing really boils down to being able to get decent (say 6-7 mbps) speeds indoors which is big c/w what we had previously. It does seem that I seem to wander to band 25 taking a few steps oddly enough.
