  1. In order to deploy nationwide it would require vast numbers of small cells. I predict that it will redeployed at least initially in stadiums, malls, large buildings, box stores, etc. T-Mobile will have to share the spectrum with other carriers and cable cos that have an advantage in that they can use strand mounted small cells.
But phone carriers will not get priority?

  2. it uses carrier aggregation of both the 5GHZ band, yep the same band that WiFi uses and a licensed LTE band. The licensed part is used for control signals. The 5GHz band is shared with WiFi users and other carriers that decide to implement LAA. If nobody else is using it it is capable of vast amounts of bandwidth. If everybody else is using as well the available bandwidth goes down precipitously!

    It's not being deployed Nationwide?

  3. The timeline everyone is saying seems like new radio 600MHz will be in a flagship by end of year and L600 should have aggregation and be available in mid range phones then as well.
Four carrier aggregation. I believe the new S9 has four carrier aggregation.

  4. I got my parents both the S8 Actives. The battery is YUGE, it's perfect for them. Got them a nice slim case just for scratches and dings. Great phone. Enjoy it!

I’ve had the active series since the S5. Excellent durability. I had my S5 active run over by a 14,000 pound school bus and it didn’t have a crack on it.

  5. I agree, I don't think they're that rare. There were a lot of promotions for existing customers going on in October/November/December. There was an LG promo for $5/month, along with the Essential promo for $5/month. That's usually when most of the Sprint promotions are I think, for all carriers.

There might be a promo for the S8 once the S9 is actually available.

I am really shocked they don’t include current customers. Doing a promotion for new customers and current customers can be an incentive to keep current customers with the carrier.

  6. Interesting.  I liked the X2 and X1 was ok, for their time, the shake for camera/flashlight features, in particular.
I am now leaning back to the S8+, based on a few things, including the fact that I just missed the window for a free Alexa speaker snapon.

I would stick with the S8 that you want...I’m getting the S8 active this evening... I need durability lol

  7. I have owned Motorola phones before and liked their features.
Samsungs do have a lot of annoying processes.

I had Motorola phones and I don’t particularly like the Z2 force. It’s overheating on me and it boot loops

  8. Naojdgb.png This is a speedtest from the mono pine a 1/2 mile to the south of the Sprint flag pole in Hack's Point. But I'm still going to place a order on Unlimitedville for a Sprint Hot Spot to see if service will work at my house 2.8 miles to the SW of hack's point

Well the speed is great. I won’t deny that. But I go to Delaware once a year in August and I was there less than eight months ago and there was a lot of band 26. But after Dover Air Force Base the coverage got worse.
