I'm talking about LAA... I don't see that as a 5th generation upgrade.
I thought tmobile came out and said that their 5G for now will be hotspot areas in cities.

It's not being deployed Nationwide?it uses carrier aggregation of both the 5GHZ band, yep the same band that WiFi uses and a licensed LTE band. The licensed part is used for control signals. The 5GHz band is shared with WiFi users and other carriers that decide to implement LAA. If nobody else is using it it is capable of vast amounts of bandwidth. If everybody else is using as well the available bandwidth goes down precipitously!

Yeah I'm going to have to look it up somehow. Its LAA, saw a post on Reddit. Its pushing over 300Mbps. Not sure if LAA is nationwide or New Jersey.

Where I live in New Jersey there's only 51 megahertz is Spectrum available.
12 MHz 700
30 MHz PCS
30 MHz AWS
30 MHz B71
0 MHz B66
There are larger markets with less spectrum like St. Louis for example.

Doesn't T-Mobile have less Spectrum in Chicago than they do elsewhere?
Isn’t Sprint faster in Chicago? I have friends up there and they seem to be saying Sprint has been faster there for a while.

Four carrier aggregation. I believe the new S9 has four carrier aggregation. The timeline everyone is saying seems like new radio 600MHz will be in a flagship by end of year and L600 should have aggregation and be available in mid range phones then as well.

I'm curious and I'm really wanting to have some serious Network Hardware my hands

Yeah I'm wondering when those will come out. I'm waiting for T-Mobile to start testing here.Yeah, so far no stand alone radios have it either. I don't have one I can build into a modem.

There is only a few phones that support it. The one I have is the lgv30.I am waiting for band 66 here. I am not sure when an embedded 600MHz radio will be available but 5 channels will be pretty impressive for the network experience.

I do agree with you. Is Sprint actually put some more money into the Delaware Market with just the low band service alone would make coverage great. And band 41 wouldn't have much of a problem either. This market could be great but who knows why so all over place on sites.

I got my parents both the S8 Actives. The battery is YUGE, it's perfect for them. Got them a nice slim case just for scratches and dings. Great phone. Enjoy it!
I’ve had the active series since the S5. Excellent durability. I had my S5 active run over by a 14,000 pound school bus and it didn’t have a crack on it.

I agree, I don't think they're that rare. There were a lot of promotions for existing customers going on in October/November/December. There was an LG promo for $5/month, along with the Essential promo for $5/month. That's usually when most of the Sprint promotions are I think, for all carriers.
There might be a promo for the S8 once the S9 is actually available.

I am really shocked they don’t include current customers. Doing a promotion for new customers and current customers can be an incentive to keep current customers with the carrier.

Just a wild guess... It'll probably be worth considerably more than the Z2 in 18 months as well.
Yes it will Be worth a lot more than the Motorola phones now

Interesting. I liked the X2 and X1 was ok, for their time, the shake for camera/flashlight features, in particular.
I am now leaning back to the S8+, based on a few things, including the fact that I just missed the window for a free Alexa speaker snapon.
I would stick with the S8 that you want...I’m getting the S8 active this evening... I need durability lol

Yeah right now the only deal seems to be the V30+ for $20/month for existing.
They've had 50% off S8/Note 8 for a while now for new customers only. There was a Cyber Monday sale that had those $200 off over 18 months for everyone. Existing customer deals are rare with Sprint.
Why rare?

I have owned Motorola phones before and liked their features.
Samsungs do have a lot of annoying processes.
I had Motorola phones and I don’t particularly like the Z2 force. It’s overheating on me and it boot loops

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I will be altering my choice.
The s8+ though does have a better camera

yes and all towers mostly got lte live now. coverage all way down route1 and 113. There 3weeks ago.
Well I hope sprint can make Them Tri band eventually

Past dover you get band 25 all way down , But on band 25 that you only get 1 to 8 mbps. Lot thoses are gmos with old legacy panels.
It’s only a 5 MHz carrier correct

verizon tower . that looks. like tree i saw that. The flag pole went 3miles south.
Sprint still lacks LTE in the southern part of Delaware. It’s been improved upon in Rehobeth. But the rural highway Still needs a lot of densification and expansion of their LTE.

This is a speedtest from the mono pine a 1/2 mile to the south of the Sprint flag pole in Hack's Point. But I'm still going to place a order on Unlimitedville for a Sprint Hot Spot to see if service will work at my house 2.8 miles to the SW of hack's point
Well the speed is great. I won’t deny that. But I go to Delaware once a year in August and I was there less than eight months ago and there was a lot of band 26. But after Dover Air Force Base the coverage got worse.
