Hey Guys, Do you happen to know when the Metrowest or Cambridge/Somerville areas will be live for LTE. I have heard everything from Late September to Early December. Thanks!
Davis Davis is live, Harvard Ave in Allston live,

Called sprint and said that the tower won't be back up until 10/12!!
so... this is the second time in two weeks that the tower in Lower Mills Dorchester, MA has been down... i better be expecting some 4G LTE goodness soon to make up for my dropped calls! arrgh!
Went from full strength signal to 1 to zero bars....

I'm from the Boston area and when I heard LTE was in Boston I began my search for it and finally found a spot around where I live. I don't know how long its been in the Somerville area but the results were amazing take a peek. Screen shot taken with my htc evo 4g LTE
Also live in Davis square

Anyone else experience network upgrades in the Boston area?
-
Yeah.. We also had decent infrastructure in my area. Not the 2 to 3 megs like everyone else is claiming with their upgraded towers.
Did you get that speed before?
Maybe it had fiber installed ahead of the NV upgrade?

Looks like the tower was down dueupgraded nical difficulties. It is back up and getting 1.5 down... im guessing this tower was not NV upgraded
I live in Dorchester right by Ashmont and was getting very low signal too. There is an LTE tower in Mattapan, the signal just barely reaches my apartment, and the only way it does is if I put my phone into LTE only mode to force it to find the signal. Hopefully the sprint rep you spoke to is correct about the tower coming up. I am a sprint technician at a store, I'll see if maybe I can find out more info if it's not back by Wednesday.

So... i am hoping to get some 4G LTE in lower mills Dorchester/Milton area.. my tower went down and the sprint rep said it won't be back up until Wednesday morning.. currently living with crappy service/roaming into Verizon's towers... i'm hoping this downtime is for an LTE upgrade??

Got 4G LTE finally in Davis Square for a little bit! I was in front of Orleans restaurant today and got around 12 Mbps down and 5Mbps up... Looks like they are testing as i didn't get a consistent connection...
after a quick google search... i found this... looks like permits to install a NV tower on top of Somerville Theater...

Good stuff! Can't wait til this area is finally live! My speeds on 3G are slightly better than dialup!!!!

Where in the Boston area (both city and surrounding) have people successfully connected to a LTE tower? I am in the lower mills area bordering Milton and seem to only get decent 3G speeds.. i drive through the city everyday for work and never pick up an LTE signal... I also work at Somerville Hospital and don't get anything there but really slow 3G speeds... is something wrong with my phone or am I just not in the right area where there is a LTE tower?
