  1. I'm considering switching to at&t. I have only been with sprint for about 6 weeks but the speeds are just not doing it for me since I came from t-mobile 4g HSPA, like I can't even check my voicemail. I'm afraid that this rollout in Daytona is going to take till the end of the year, maybe past that. Should I stay though, and are there any towers in Port Orange that are just waiting for backhaul ?
  2. When is backhaul scheduled for Daytona. Also one thing I'm confused about, there are some towers in Daytona that sprints says have had data speed upgrades, yet when I'm near them, my 3g still sucks. A sprint rep claims they are only 1% finished in Volusia county but the numbers aren't adding up
  3. Today I was at best buy on the international speedway in Daytona Beach across the street from the nascar race track and noticed there were men working on this tower. I assumed it was sprint since all the other carriers already have LTE officially launched in Daytona, anyone know anything about it ?
  4. If you can pick up the signal in Melbourne from Oveido, then how come we can't pick up the signal from Oveido to Daytona. According to your map it seems like the same distance
  5. Ok. Hopefully once the SoftBank deal is finalized, sprint will go full speed ahead on the rollout. It'd be sad to see T-Mobiles LTE surpass Sprints.
  6. At my house I average between 3 and 4 bars. Once every blue moon it will reach 5 for about a minute or so and then drop back down to 4. Around the city I average between 3 and 5 bars
  7. Just some clarification. According to Sprints WiMAX coverage map, the WiMAX coverage in port orange is very spotty and poor. Will LTE be better with coverage? There is a tower off of Williamson blvd on what looks to be private property near the spruce creek, according to research it is a tmobile tower. But also sprint because according to sprint "see what's happening in your neighborhood" NV upgrade map, that tower has had a voice upgrade. There are two levels on the tower. The first one most likely tmobile and the second one most likely sprint. But yesterday I noticed that the protruding structures that the antennas would be mounted on are installed but there are no actual antennas mounted on them. And I only see one section of wire going down the tower. Could this be future LTE tower for sprint? Also there is an AT&T tower at the corner of Williamson and Taylor across from the 7 eleven. Its only has AT&T on it right now but is sprint planning to install LTE on that tower in the future, or would they even need to ?
  8. Why is Daytona listed as coming soon, when it is on the first 100 list of cities to get LTE ?
  9. Oh ok. By the way some good news. I talk to sprint customer service today and she said that they are going to start lighting up Daytona around June or July. And it should be finished by the fall
  10. When I bought my iphone 5, the sales rep told me the same thing. When I asked him when they would be turned on he said December 2013. That seems very far off. Is this accurate or could there be another reason why they haven't turned them on yet ?
  11. Sorry about that, i'm still learning how to use the forums, but I was saying that the sales rep at sprint told me that towers were complete in the Daytona area, but they would not be turned on until December 2013 because something about they are still working on the infrastructure
  12. When I bought my iphone 5, the sales rep told me the same thing. When I asked him when they would be turned on he said December 2013. That seems very far off. Is this accurate or could there be another reason why they haven't turned them on yet ?
  13. Does any one know if sprint had begun installing LTE in the Daytona Beach/Volusia county area. And if not, then when. By following sensorly over he past few months I've noticed that LTE goes all the way from key west to Jacksonville, covering just about every city on the way up and literally skipping right over Daytona. I thought Daytona would be one of the first cities to receive LTE since they are a major sponsor of the Daytona 500. Can someone shed some light on this, and has anyone picked any LTE in the Daytona Beach area. Thanks in advance
