  1. It's believed that a site with NV 3G accepted (a yellow or green site) that will not allow a Triband LTE device to connect is just in need of a software update. This is why some people report their LTE all of a sudden works. So maybe your site will be recitifed soon.

    Here's to hoping you're correct.

  2. Do you have any issues connecting to 3G/4G sites? The closest one would be MLK and Kingshighway. Anyone else with Tri-Band devices experiencing issues connecting to either purple or yellow sites with consistency?

purple sites are fine yellow are no go. The motherhead site I can't connect to at all. And the yellow one north of it. The purple ones I can pick up easily as long as it doesn't try to hand me off to one of those yellow ones.

  3. LilG, I did some scouting and it seems to be the towers on your map that are yellow which I can't connect to.  connect to it fine with my htc one though.  wonder if there is some sort of "im not ready yet" flag its broadcasting that the non triband ones just ignore?  I pick up the tower near work fine.

  4. It's plain and simple. The N5 that Sprint users and AT&T users, etc will be using will be the same exact device. The updates won't go through AT&T or Sprint to sign off on them before the OTA is put on Google's servers. The companies signed off on the first update and I'm sure there are other provisions in the contract with the company's like hot spot locking down, etc. I'm not sure why you are getting stuff about patents and such holding up updates for each carrier. That's not the way it is going to work. When Google updates to 4.4.1 then the same scaled rollout will happen to all device users.

  5. Uh dude I have an EVO 4G LTE and the sim card is most definitely not removable.

Great to hear about the N5 being unlocked. As that is the case I definitely will be getting it. I will be waiting a few weeks to see if Sprint will release the strangle hold on Ting and allow the N5 to be activated on Ting as well. I'm not holding my breath though. If not I suppose I'll get a GoPhone pre-paid.

    Thanks.

Your right about that the one is definitely removable though. I confused my memory of removing the SD card lol.

  6. I'm chomping at the bit for the N5. Now that I'm on Ting I'm yet again at the mercy of waiting on Sprint. Even though Sprint officially has the N5 they make MVNO's wait for the same phone's to become available.

So my new research is if the Sprint version of the N5 does have all of the radios for AT@T/T-Mo and is unlocked. If so I'll just drop Ting and use the phone elsewhere until Sprint allows it on Ting.

there is no sprint version its all the same version.
