  1. Ya I've been the biggest sprint advocate always telling friends and family to wait but I can't justify the wait anymore. I seriously can't even stream pandora or tunein radio. I'm just throwing away money with sprints horrendous 3G speeds. I live on this site lol but im thinking the transition to LTE will take longer than initially thought. I'm gonna try out tmobiles $30 prepaid plan (100 minutes, unlimited talk/text/web- Data speeds around 12 Mbps consistently). Ill be saving almost $80 per month
  2. For anyone curious about building penetration,. Good news...I went to the Hollywood library and still got speeds of 25 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up.
  3. I'm not sure. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in
  4. ya i think they shut off LTE in Broward. I've been getting LTE everyday outside my house consistently but havent gotten any since late last night. Winds are howling out there so I'm sure we wont see anymore build out til the storm passes
  5. now that Sprint is finally turning LTE towers on in South Fl I wonder how many towers will turn on weekly? Is it safe to assume 2 to 4 new towers a week until the entire network is complete?
  6. to my surprise, LTE popped up at sheridan plaza in hollywood. Looks like it might be making its way westward. Unfortunately, after a couple of speed tests (up to 6 mbps down), went back to 3G
  7. the dreaded 2G circle of death. I had that all the time last year at this time with my Sprint Iphone 4S. Thus far, with my Iphone 5, I dont see it nearly as much.
  8. good news for dade county peeps. my brother just drove south through kendall and reported LTE. Not sure where exactly but he was in Kendall
  9. start at 95 and hollywood blvd.. go west. enjoy hot spot is around memorial regional hospital on johnson
  10. LTE Heaven found along Hollywood Blvd. strong signal encompassing a huge area
  11. i was on the 95. i didnt actually get off hallandale beach blvd. but passing over it i got a strong signal. i did get a signal when i got off sheridan and stirling going both east and west for a couple of miles which was cool too.
  12. no hint of lte? try putting your phone in airplane mode and back on data
  13. i am happy to report that not only has LTE been popping up in south broward (along the 95 corridor) but also 3G speeds have DRASTICALLY improved in those areas as well as areas near the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport. I drove from my house off of stirling east to the 95 and north and then east on the 595 checking 3G speed tests the whole way (I also got a faint LTE signal).. and normally where 3G speeds are abysmal (anywhere from .01 mbps up to about .4 mbps in the middle of the day) They are now anywhere from .8 mbps off of stirling up to 1.6 mbps CONSISTENTLY as I continued to do speed test after speed test. Ping times were under 90 ms as well. Crazy to see once I passed the airport, it's like I hit a wall and all of a sudden, bam, speeds were back to .08 mbps and ping times 800+. This is besides the LTE that I have confirmed from Sheridan St southward to just north of Hallandale Beach Blvd.
  14. Oooh ok well that's why. These LTE sites literally turned on within the last 24 hours (I would know, I check for LTE religiously on my area)
  15. Did u do that today (as in Wednesday) or yesterday (Tuesday)?
  16. Try jumping on the 95 going north. You'll hit it immediately (I've put it on sensorly)
  17. Try jumping on the 95 going north. You'll hit it immediately (I've put it on sensorly)
  18. That's exactly what I get when I go outside my house in Hollywood. Unfortunately as soon as I go inside, it goes back to 3G.
  19. You just missed the radius. You were a little too far west. Go more east towards Sheridan plaza and Ty park and you'll definitely get LTE, albeit a slow connection (2-3 Mbps)
  20. Does anyone know how sprint chooses which towers they (subcontractors) go to next? Do they go to the next closest tower in distance? And move in a strategic "line" if u will.. Or is it random and all over the place?
  21. I would also add that 3G speeds are faster too. At my house now and no LTE. But 3G speeds are usually around .3 Mbps are now spiking at .9 Mbps which makes a huge difference plus it's still a busy time of the night
