11432 LTE is gone for the time being.

Times like this make me wish I had a jailbroken iPhone. If I had a computer I'd do it.
It'd be nice if jailbroken iPhones had the ability to map LTE on sensorly.
You don't have a computer or a friend's to use for like 10 minutes?

Step 1: Add panels
Step 2: Connect fiber backhaul.
Step 3: Move on to next tower.
Not very smart considering they didn't forsee their network getting bogged down after 2 years. Not enough capacity to support their current amount of subscribers. That's why complaints about Verizon's LTE being slow are beginning to pop up everywhere.
I see. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it why sprint is putting lte on 99.9% of the sites to avoid what vzw did??

How did Verizon handle it?

You guys keep saying that but Doubt that , you guys are saying that bc of AT&T & Verizon's slow down but I think ours will stay right at 20-30mbps
Doubtful especially if they're advertising peaks of 25. Two LTE networks having slow down is more evidence than just saying "I think it will stay right at 20-30 mbps". Just saying.

My WiMax was always fast, around 15Mbps all day. In my home, I did not get it unless I stood by the window in which case, on 1 bar I would get around 10Mbps.
Damn. You had a WiMAX tower right next to you? Most I got was around 12 Mbps at my girl's and that was right by the window. But I would just use Wi-Fi anyway.
-
I'm doubting its slower then 3G. That would be pretty sad
Before I got my Galaxy S III, WiMAX was slower than 3G more often than not. I wonder how it's doing now.
-
When I have it full force and use it to watch live baseball on LTE, I'll prob be using at least 20gb a month.
And my usage is with Wi-Fi practically everywhere I'm at. Home, work, school, girlfriend's. I don't know how people deal with data caps and have LTE.

Got this by St. John's University. Grand Central service road and Utopia. Which is about 0.3 mile away from my home.

I used almost 3gb and I hardly even used it.
Yeah it's pretty easy to use up data. I average 1.8 GB just myself and 2.2 GB with the other two in my family plan. And that's just with 3G.

I have an iphone 5 so no screen shot for these numbers. This morning I used the speed test app on Sprints 3G network at 8:06 am the downIoad was 0.58 Mbps upload was 0.79 Mbps ping 360 ms. I got an LTE signal this morning at 9:26 am the download was 15.41 Mbps the upload was 2.89 Mbps and ping 37 ms. Sprint's network vision plans are working LTE is amazing finally I can use Netflix and youtube.
iOS has built-in screenshots. Press home and power at the same time and hold until you hear and see the screenshot taken. Those are some great numbers. You can still take a screenshot of your results page.

Looks like Ozone Park has been turned on for LTE.
I work in the Ozone Park area and I noticed it last week. Looking at the map it looks like only a few towers have it so far. And 101st and Woodhaven, where I work, isn't covered yet.

Aww sprint is never helpful and I don't want to waste my time, screw it I will stay with no service

Chris
You might as well call them. What's the point of having no service and not trying to go through your service provider to fix it?
-
exactly my point. i dont need 50mbps speeds. i would rather have 10mbps with 30ms ping with very good coverage indoor and outdoor.
Yes indoor and outdoor too! I have some friends in the Dallas/Fortworth area. They ended up switching to AT&T because Sprint LTE just wasn't strong enough indoors and he really couldn't wait any longer for the coverage to improve. He knew AT&T was stronger cause he had an iPad with AT&T LTE service to compare.
-
My cousins iPhone 5 on AT&T gets 50+ consistently in the Bronx and Manhattan. Indoors as well sometimes.
Realistically how fast do phones really need to be? I s**t bricks whenever I go past 15mbps. I think after a consistent 10mbps you can't really tell the difference. Maybe if you jump to 30-ish but slightly.
Wow consistently 50+!? I'm surprised. I would be perfectly happy with the a consistent upper advertised range. I just want to be able to stream HD videos without buffering and being able to upload HD videos no problem.

It's pretty amazing all the progress that's been made in the last few weeks.
Hopefully Staten Island will get some love in the next weeks.
I noticed 4G up by the AMC Orpheum theater 86th and 3rd Ave.

Nope, once all the towers have LTE broadcasting, it will almost be a 1:1 coverage between EVDO and LTE.
Yeah that's why I kind of corrected myself because I added that it's the same band as 3G, EVDO. Just gotta be super patient until that day. Luckily I use Wi-Fi in the places I'm most often at.

I was able to get WiMAX indoors before so that's interesting
When I had the EVO 4G and Epic 4G Touch there was huge difference in speed and strength between being by a window and 15 feet away from it inside my apartment. Lots of people complained of WiMAX's lack of indoor penetration.
That being said, just realized 3G is on the same 1900 band so lack of towers is more likely the answer.

Isn't it also because of the relatively high frequency of 1900? Not as bad as WiMAX 2500.

Sprint doesn't cap speeds. That is definitely a crowded tower or degredation in quality of signal. Bars don't tell the whole story as, I vs have 3 bars and still get near 2Mbps speeds.
Guess you're right but I've tried all hours of the day and haven't gotten 9 Mpbs or more download.

First post and all. Decided to join since LTE finally became available in my area of Queens, 11432. I had randomly checked out Sensorly in the beginning of February, saw it was available, and have had LTE on ever since. Here's my screenshots from tonight:
I'm literally in the heart of that dark purple and I have about 3-4 bars indoors, 4-5 outdoors. Strength is -97 dBm 43 asu. I'm actually surprised that I'm not getting 20 or 10 Mbps peaks easily but I guess it's being capped right now.

I don't mind the speed tests as long as it's not redundant and an area already mentioned.
