  1. yes yes yes! moar! moar antennas at UPR / Plaza area ok: Now i keep hearing different opinions on this and i know better than to trust Tech Support people at sprint but they actually told me the new Vision towers support 4g Wimax as well? :x i thought that was not true but at the same time i cant prove it because my phone only has LTE and not wimax.
  2. I called Sprint and asked to be forwarded to Tech Support and i spoke with one of the representatives over there and asked her about this area in 00927. basically i told her there is a huge gap between San patricio plaza, Plaza las Americas and University of Puerto Rico, including La Piñero and La barbosa ave.... She told me San Juan's rollouts were mostly complete and there were no "plans" of putting new towers in this area anytime soon. She also said Sprint will finish the LTE rollout updates to ALL states and countries by the end of 2013 if there are no delays (we all know what this means). Im pretty much dissapointed, i told her since there was a news post on the sprint website announcing the LTE rollout in the San Juan Area i actually LOST LTE in Cupey because 3 antennaes went down and prior when it was in testing phase i had 4g LTE. Im kinda shocked because that area is HUGE around plaza las americas, plaza del sol and la barbosa and piñero ave... why would they not put any new towers in this area? I pretty much get 4g in Business and Law schools in UPR where youre really close to the corner of the campus and some LTE sneaks in and also in a corner of General Studies and Natural Sciences schools which probably comes from another slightly far tower. The rest of the campus gets no 4g, and just 1x speeds with no calls coming in. My friend has sprint and were always trying to meet up and we just resort to 30 minute late voice mails and text messages.
  3. So then theres still hope it will get better? Even if its 100% in Puerto Rico or so they say, then the coverage map is more of a "over generous map" of what it should look like once theyre done? Because i would get 4g at my house pre-official launch in cupey and now its not there anymore. in the UPR of rio piedras i started getting LTE in some corners but even outdoors around some of the buldings the signal drops to 1-2 bars or even 1x... and it just DRAINS my battery. So im hoping theyre not exactly done yet.
  4. hey guys just joined this forum and i wanted to contribute to mapping the 4g network. I know ive received 4g LTE in El Señorial mall next to the PR-52 Expressway and I have some questions regarding LTE mapping with Sensorly. How does it work? I know last time i used it i clicked on "Map Trip" and I got some 4g LTE points on my trip and when i submitted it i didnt really see an update on the map right away. Also: How does Sprint's LTE work? Say: Im currently in an area that i KNOW has LTE but i see the 3g icon. I have to go ahead and do a PRL update and Profile update to be able to see 4g or switch the phone to airplane mode then back and it finally locks on to LTE. Same thing when i know there are two LTE spots right next to the other. For example i go from El Señorial to PR-844 where i Live and i know theres 4g in both places with some 3g in between. During my trip 4g drops and then it wont resume when im near my house at the 844 street. Like i mentioned, i have to update PRL or airplane mode the phone for it to pick up the 4g :x Im guessing because were still in the test phase. EDIT: sometimes on random days I can be at a place where i know ive gotten 4g before but even with update PRL or airplane it wont pick up LTE Sorry no images to contribute except for LTE around Cupey being maybe from 3 to 6 Mega's tops.
