I did confirm it is with sprint. I believe the address would be the 2400 block of Hickman in Des Moines 50310.

On a positive note I spotted work starting on the tower at Hickman and MLK. I took a picture and even confirmed with the guy digging the trench for fiber. Now the question is how do I post the picture ? lol

I would say don't sign up for it, at this point sprint thinks 100kbps is sufficient when it isn't. I like to use my iphone in the car to listen to music and I must say I am pretty let down by all the cutting out and buffering. So if you have a Sprint iphone I would advise against signing up for iTunes match at least until they improve speeds.

Any word on when actual work will begin ? It sure does take a long time to get permits.

I think I'm just overly excited to get LTE. Lol

That's the tower with WiMAX though. That tower is a long time lease I think it's staying when the store is built, or it will be moved onto the building.

I may have spotted a tower upgrade in progress at the Douglas and beaver tower that was a WiMAX test site.

I am not seeing any work as of yet, but just the mention of Des Moines gives me hope. I am still convinced that one of the towers down the street from me that was added in the last couple years is a network vision site. If you put in 50313 zip code it is close to Cornell St and Broadway. I wouldn't think if they were adding towers they would put up old technology only to overhaul it maybe a year or two later ?

I'm assuming people getting 3 of the same text is because they are working on the towers ?

How do you tell on the network enhancements map that LTE upgrades have been done ? Data speed upgrades ?

I wonder when we might see LTE start kicking on ? I will be sure to keep my eyes peeled and let you guys know when I start seeing it.

I knew I got an iPhone 5 for a reason ! Bring on the blazing LTE speed !

How long does it usually take to get the equipment ? The guy I talked to thought we would be up and running in a month or two.
