Curious how to tell in Samsung ##debug screen. Would the bandwidth show more than 10mhz on band 25 if it were aggregating? I'm in Urbandale and it alternates between 10mhz on band 25 and 20mhz on band 41. Guessing I'm not getting LTE plus from this tower (WDM Marriott).

Have past MotoX's had unlockable bootloader (official from Motorola)? I've decided my next phone must offer this so I am already planning on going with a 2015 Nexus. However, I got to play with a 2014 MotoX and it is a splendid phone, so I could definitely consider a 2015 model as a close competitor.

MMS fail over LTE for my wife and I all the time on our G2s. A toggle of airplane mode is often required for the image to download. I assume it is a Sprint issue not a handset issue because it affects both of us.
-
"Video speeds at 3G" is so vague, what are they even trying to say? 3G CDMA maxes out at 3.1 Mbps. That's plenty fine for HD Netflix and YouTube (I know because I have 3 Mbps DSL from Verizon and am able to do both those things!)
I think that is going to be removed - at least on the new All-in plan it was announced the 600K streaming cap was being dropped so hopefully that will apply to this plan as well.
-
Can we get this plan without visiting a Best Buy, and without leasing devices? Seems like a pretty solid deal though not quite enough to pull us off our framily plan.
-
My wife and I have been holding onto our G2's as they have been excellent phones and we don't really want to go to a bigger size of the G3/4. A 5.2" Nexus would be a dream come true especially if it includes all the roaming LTE bands and CA.

I read somewhere they removed slide aside. I tried it here and believe it is gone. Not that I ever really able to master or use it for anything, does the three finger slide aside still work? I tried and nothing happened.

I sideloaded my G2,but my wife's G2 still hasn't received the ota either. I'm also wondering if she will ever get it? I believe otas usually have a 2 week rollout. At what point do I question if I'm ever going to get this update? I assume I'm being just impatient, but it has been awhile now.

Stored in /cacheDoes anyone remember where on the device the update file is stored before installation? I never installed ZVE because there was nothing in it that I was willing to lose root for; but it is a big file and I wouldn't mind clearing out some space.
Thanks in advance,

Note, removing the ota file does not free up space for you to load apps or anything as it's pre allocated a certain amount of space.

Be careful not to flash an older version of the OS, as Samsung has made upgrades nonreversible.

I if/what portion of the new plan is eligible for a corporate discount?
-
Need someone to confirm employee discount on this 2x100 plan and I will switch.

It's weird, I've read a lot about people with GPS issues but I've never had the problem with mine. I use GPS quite a bit and always seem to get very quick results, equal to my S3.
I do remember the horrible GPS on the Epic 4g, and I honestly thought those days were behind us.

ZVE should maintain a much more consistent connection to LTE than ZVD.

I have the update downloaded, but have not installed it. If someone would remind me where the update file is stored, I can post it to my Dropbox account for those of you who are getting tired of waiting.
No need, the OTA link from Google has been available since day 1

Edit, sorry for double posts (tapatalk is killing me today)

Maybe I always get HD is because it's between two G2's. It's possible the ZVE update will give improved consistency as it was listed in the upgrade notes I believe.I don't think it matters at all. My phone usually camps out on 1xRTT since I am very close to the NV tower. My girlfriend's S4T is on 1x800 and we have successfully had HD calls - only once in a blue moon though...
We both meet all the criteria that dleewee described above, but rarely experience HD voice. I'm not sure why.
I don't know what exactly decides when you get HD. We both live very close to NV towers, so signal should not be an issue.
-
I definitely had lots of HD calls on ZVD. Although I just took ZVE yesterday so I can't say much about it yet. I don't know about your 1x800 question unfortunately.I've experience it HD calls prior to getting the ZVD but haven't seen it since getting the update last week. And I know for sure I've met the criteria seeing as my wife has the S4T and her work tower is NV complete. It shouldn't matter that I'm on 1x800 when calling should it?

Yes, I'm on ZVE and have rooted with stump. I use the xposed module to replace the menu soft key with app switcher. I confirmed earlier the baseband remained the same although the BSRtimer issue appears to have been fixed.Have you received the OTA yet?
I get HD voice everything I talk to my wife, she is also on a G2. No one else I call is on Sprint. HD voice will only workYeah, I hope that does get resolved with the ZVE update. When I experience the issue with all my phones, I have a great signal, so for me at least, it must be the network.
1. When calling another sprint subscriber.
2. When both users have a HD voice capable phones.
3. When both users are connected to network vision towers.
Edit, I've not experienced the low volume issue personally but I don't talk on the phone all that often.

Ioroot and towelroot have been blocked in the ZVE update. Fortunately stump root works fine. However if you didn't unroot before taking the OTA, stump root may fail to run because it thinks you are already rooted.Figures..., spouse takes the update and installs it and naturally loses root.
For anyone taking the OTA, make sure you go into supersu settings and disable it first.

I've confirmed ZVE has bsrtimer as 3 so it appears it has been corrected (or the value was retained from when I fixed it before).

Same baseband after ZVE OTAIt was BSR Timer. After updating to ZVD from ZVC, it defaulted to 3000 when the correct BSR Timer is actually 3. Oops!
This OTA looks kind of small. Was hoping for something a bit bigger (WiFi Calling, or G3 UI.) I guess one can dream, can't I?
EDIT: If you take the OTA, can you compare Baseband versions? Mine on ZVD is currently M8974A-AAAANAZM-2.0.20046. Wondering if we got an entirely new Baseband as this version matches ZVC, too.

I may have to change my stance if corporate discounts are in fact eligible. At the very least, this brings even more value to the table to make switching for 2 years really worth considering.I don't take exception to your points, because it doesn't work out for everybody. And less so for existing subs. But I do want to add that people were advocating for being a me to add devices for a nominal fee like VZW and ATT. And that has been added. It's just the contrast to new subs that makes it tougher to accept at face value.

The possibilities of corporate discounts also makes me even more excited to see the new single line plans.
Still not what I was hoping for. I personally advocated and brought several people over to Sprint when Framily launched but don't feel the same kind of excitement now.

Oh, haha, yeah I guess I've had "LTE plus" for quite a long time then (while at work). I'l have to take look when I'm in Indianola as I've never seen band 41 there before.
I was hoping to see some carrier aggregation but apparently I'm getting ahead of myself. If there a sprint marketing term for CA?
