Seems like it would be a good thing.

Why so quite OC? We waiting on something?
-
I wonder if they are going to shut off lte at at Laguna tower. If it stays on then that is going to be a great sign.
-
I got this off the site in Yorba Linda last night:
I believe it was coming from their site on Highland Ave. I was at Buena Vista and Lakeview when I ran the test.
damn at 1:20am too. Wonder what was up with the upload speed.

I changed from weekly updates, to updating every day I get acceptance reports. I typically get an acceptance report every day from somewhere. So instead of sitting on them until the weekend, I'm now updating the maps every night before I go to bed with whatever I received for the day. I received OC, IE and San Diego reports yesterday and updated the maps of them.

So you can now have a weekend to yourself!

Two OC sites were accepted yesterday. This YL site and one in Laguna Niguel. It is not uncommon for new sites to go on and off for a few days.

Robert did you decide to start updating the maps daily or is it still going to be weekly?

Looks like yesterday was a tease? You guys getting anything over there in YL and AH?
-
Well I had a feeling this would happen. Wonder why tho.
-

I got an iPhone 5 so I have to Rootmetrics it. Everywhere I go thats running. Thank god for unlimited data right now. I do hit a lot of towers pushing 2.0+ 3g.

There was a large update to the Sponsor maps of Orange County accepted Network Vision sites today. More info and maps available in the Sponsor section: http://s4gru.com/ind...post__p__103526

Nope. I don't see anything in Fullerton right now. As of last week there were no LTE sites operating anywhere in Orange County.
So what sites are signed off in the OC? Cross streets cause if I'm in the area I would like to see the new setup so I can tell if a site has been upgraded when driving around.
-
As far as we know, they will not be adding that information, specifically LTE to the maps. We have noticed that every tower that has received LTE is shown as having a speed upgraded, but not every tower that has a speed upgrade has LTE. Go figure that one out lol.
I noticed some said 1 speed upgrade and 2 speed upgraded so it got me thinking that maybe and just maybe its the ones with 2 speed upgrades. I'm not a sponsor so I don't get to see your maps. Do you know how many signed off towers there are in the OC?
-
Oh and anyone planning on possibly giving Blackberry another chance? The Q10 actually seems pretty sweet!
Black Berry has many chances with me and just got worst so no more chances with me thats for sure but best of luck to them tho...

Hey guys! When is Sprint going to be updating their tower improvement map with the LTE info? They only have the "voice upgrade / data speed improvements" with in the last 6 months and I also find that hard to believe cause I have noticed nothing in the last 6 months.
-
Did the LTE site reveal itself to you in a shower of rose petals? Was it "spectacular"?
AJ
It was a lot like that but she was next to me sleeping...
-
How long on average from the time a tower is upgraded to the point it is now until it actually has an LTE SIGNAL?
I don't know but I had a dream the other night that I lived by the only active LTE tower here in the OC. Yeah I might have issues...
-
1 is better than none. At least they are climbing towers!
-
So after doing a lot of research about Sprint and its plans. If what I have ready is true and with the iDen network becoming dead in June which will open up the 800mhz spectrum for LTE I can only see good things happening BUT if it doesnt happen and this overhaul slows down then its going to be a bummer cause these plans look amazing on paper right now. Here in the OC we should see some great speeds and voice this year. Only down fall is the lack of towers in South County but maybe there is something to be done. Anyways I might be happy with Spring for once and thats hard cause I came from Verizon. Thats like having a Lambo and going to a Prius.
