  1. I was also picking up lte indoors near the Brandon best buy at a military installation that I've never picked up there before, heck I'm nearly almost always roaming in there; so I don't know if they turned on a tower or if I just got a random good signal.

  2. I had no problems in Wichita Falls testing to go back and forth between LTE and eHRPD on legacy sites. The backhaul type in irrelevant. Each type of backhaul is provisioned like a VPN direct to the Sprint network core at an MSC. The backhaul is just a conduit, whether legacy or NV. Legacy NV backhaul is just bandwidth/throughput limited, but pointed to the same place.

That being said, Sprint's network is still not mature and can have hand off problems between LTE and eHRPD. It does occur. And this may be exarcebated by dissimilar vendors.

it seems completely fine on anything but Netflix.

It shouldn't fail unless of course the 3G is overloaded where it can't stream it. Or maybe Netflix's app can't handle the different in speed change between 4G and 3G.

Odd, I disconnect every time I swap between 3G and LTE. Swapping between 2g and 3G works fine.

I was getting LTE inside Walmart on Gunn, the Citrus Park Mall and yesterday......for a brief second or two, I had it in my house. I'm very close to The Veterans Hwy and Erlich off ramp.

I haven't seen any LTE by my work, which is in the Sabal Business Park or MLK, by I75 in Tampa.

thats from a tower near where wilsky turns into the vet its been broadcasting a few weeks.

  5. Been following the group for a few months now and this is my first post. Anybody know if Sprint is planning to install LTE on the tower by Wells Fargo Bank on Bruce B Downs & Regents Park Dr near Cross Creek?

All of the towers in Tampa are going to be LTE

  6.

Nope... I was mapping earlier in Spring Hill, on my way to Brooksville. I mapped down the Suncoast on the way back. Then made a loop around Citrus Park, as there were spots not on the map there. I made a quick post while driving. Sorry for any confusion... ;)

Also, I'll choose a route to get somewhere that isn't mapped if at all possible. I work all over the state at times & I map whenever I can...

Awesome! Thanks. Did you go down Gunn Hwy?
  7. I'll pass through the Waters/Dale Mabry area around 5:30. If nobody else has reported anything by then, I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks to (another) crash on the Howard Frankland this afternoon, I diverted to the Gandy Bridge. Picked up 4G on the Tampa side of Gandy, and up Dale Mabry, past Britton Plaza (to about El Prado). According to the LTE Discovery app, I was getting an occasional "blip" of LTE, as I continued north, via Himes. Nothing north of Kennedy.

Sensorly was also running the whole time, except for the airplane mode cycles prompted by LTE Discovery.

Oh, and regarding LTE Discovery: This morning's update seems to have fixed the GPS reporting. The coordinates list looks MUCH better now.

I'm at the waters/dale mabry site right now. No LTE broadcasting here. Definitely has 3 sprint LTE panels up, 1 on each side.
  8. I stopped by the Lynn site off of Gunn hwy to see if that's where the LTE signal at my house was coming from. There was a unmarked service truck there. I spoke to one of the guys, he said all the ground work was done and another team is going to come soon to put the panels up.
