Oh wow, That coverage map is not even close. Very disappointed with Sprint "peeing on my leg and telling me its raining".
-
WHAT?!? Sprint announced Tampa as live... I'd venture to guess only 20% of the market is turned on.
-
This rollout is taking way longer than I expected. Jumping in and out of LTE is worse than 3G speeds. I'm actually getting pretty aggravated with sprint at this point.
-
Do you know what the SID or channel# was by any chance?

I was also picking up lte indoors near the Brandon best buy at a military installation that I've never picked up there before, heck I'm nearly almost always roaming in there; so I don't know if they turned on a tower or if I just got a random good signal.
-
The tower next to The Amp had lines up the other day. It's such a condensed tower I haven't been able to tell if it has RUUs up or not at highway speeds.
-
it seems completely fine on anything but Netflix.I had no problems in Wichita Falls testing to go back and forth between LTE and eHRPD on legacy sites. The backhaul type in irrelevant. Each type of backhaul is provisioned like a VPN direct to the Sprint network core at an MSC. The backhaul is just a conduit, whether legacy or NV. Legacy NV backhaul is just bandwidth/throughput limited, but pointed to the same place.
That being said, Sprint's network is still not mature and can have hand off problems between LTE and eHRPD. It does occur. And this may be exarcebated by dissimilar vendors.

Good, maybe it will fill that data dead point at Busch and 275.Busch and N Hyaleah Rd a mile east of Busch Gardens. They should be up there today if it doesn't rain.
-
It shouldn't fail unless of course the 3G is overloaded where it can't stream it. Or maybe Netflix's app can't handle the different in speed change between 4G and 3G.
Odd, I disconnect every time I swap between 3G and LTE. Swapping between 2g and 3G works fine.
-
where at on Busch is there NV work? I live on Gunn myself but travel on Busch everyday.Like my home tower on Busch Blvd, they have been up there the last two days. So excited!
-
Towers are still being worked on I know a couple of sites that had Ericsson workers there the last few days.
-
Ahhh! That explains why when watching Netflix the stream fails when swapping between LTE and 3G. I was worried this was permanent.
-
There's still a bunch of workers at Lynn and Gunn site. Couldn't tell what they were doing as the panels are up and ground work is done. I forget the name of the company. It wasn't Ericsson but something else that started with an E.
-
Really got up close and personal to those panels lol!
Oh yeah, the guys there were very nice.

thats from a tower near where wilsky turns into the vet its been broadcasting a few weeks.I was getting LTE inside Walmart on Gunn, the Citrus Park Mall and yesterday......for a brief second or two, I had it in my house. I'm very close to The Veterans Hwy and Erlich off ramp.
I haven't seen any LTE by my work, which is in the Sabal Business Park or MLK, by I75 in Tampa.

Been following the group for a few months now and this is my first post. Anybody know if Sprint is planning to install LTE on the tower by Wells Fargo Bank on Bruce B Downs & Regents Park Dr near Cross Creek?
All of the towers in Tampa are going to be LTE

This is the site at Gunn and Lynn

Lynn and Gunn site has RUUs going up right now. I'm taking some pictures
-
I'm going to be stopping by the Lynn/Gunn site today. Workers told me everything on the ground is done and ready for inspection I'm hoping to see some tower guys over there getting the panels ready.
-
40% will still give you pretty good coverage but if your trying to stream Netflix in a car it won't stay connected very long.

like will there be LTE every where by march
No, there's a chance of 40% of the towers to be online by then; which is around when they call the market "Launched". I doubt every tower will be online before 2014. It could even take years.

Awesome! Thanks. Did you go down Gunn Hwy?Nope... I was mapping earlier in Spring Hill, on my way to Brooksville. I mapped down the Suncoast on the way back. Then made a loop around Citrus Park, as there were spots not on the map there. I made a quick post while driving. Sorry for any confusion...
Also, I'll choose a route to get somewhere that isn't mapped if at all possible. I work all over the state at times & I map whenever I can...

I'm at the waters/dale mabry site right now. No LTE broadcasting here. Definitely has 3 sprint LTE panels up, 1 on each side.I'll pass through the Waters/Dale Mabry area around 5:30. If nobody else has reported anything by then, I'll let you know what I find.
Thanks to (another) crash on the Howard Frankland this afternoon, I diverted to the Gandy Bridge. Picked up 4G on the Tampa side of Gandy, and up Dale Mabry, past Britton Plaza (to about El Prado). According to the LTE Discovery app, I was getting an occasional "blip" of LTE, as I continued north, via Himes. Nothing north of Kennedy.
Sensorly was also running the whole time, except for the airplane mode cycles prompted by LTE Discovery.
Oh, and regarding LTE Discovery: This morning's update seems to have fixed the GPS reporting. The coordinates list looks MUCH better now.

I stopped by the Lynn site off of Gunn hwy to see if that's where the LTE signal at my house was coming from. There was a unmarked service truck there. I spoke to one of the guys, he said all the ground work was done and another team is going to come soon to put the panels up.

Theres no way, I drive from citrus park to bandon every day and connect to LTE only a few times and only for minutes at a time.
