  1. Your post is full of inaccuracies.

First off it's the Minnesota Market, and it's 51% complete. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/?p=145550

NV did not start in Blaine/Coon Rapids in July, for Blaine had LTE live in March.  NV is not complete in the Blain/Coon Rapids area.  Speeds on LTE is not slow for uses on your phone.

Yes, during NV there is temporary instances of degraded service with dropped calls, ect.

The temporary problems during the NV rollout is worth it. When you go to an area that is near NV complete with 800, you find out that coverage and speed wise it's night and day.

Become a sponsor and you can see what's truly going on tower wise in the Blaine/Coon Rapids.

Or you might have to find a carrier that fulfill your needs, Sprint is not for everyone.

Those are wrong, sorry to break it to you. I know for fact Sprint lists the the Blaine/Coon Rapids NV was completed on July 10th, but the towers won't function properly for months (October supposedly).

LTE and NV are 2 different things btw.

And my post isn't inaccurate. I know this for a fact. Being a sponsor, no way I'm paying for that. Your paid info is scoped from a Sprint rep.

  2. Just to let you guys know if your area hasn't gone through Network Vision yet get ready for your service to suck while it is happening (Sprint is like 13% done with NV in Minneapolis Market).

Network Vision was started in Blaine/Coon Rapids at the beginning of July and even though the towers are complete from what I understand, service is extremely spotty. Tons of drops (10 to 12% drop rate), slow data, no text messages coming thru, and lots of other intermittent service.

  3. Rogers, Corcoran, buffalo, monticello... I'm right in the middle! Come on st. Michael! Be next!

I got LTE in Rogers today and right now I got LTE in Elk River (1st time right now).. I didn't know the tower was ready but it looks like I'll be doing some research tomorrow..

Speeds are slow tho, 2.6 mbs..

  4. I have heard of stores replacing phones where LTE was active in the market but not at the store. It doesn't have to be verified in the store, you just got to make sure the customer is not an idiot and just wasn't in a non coverage area or had their LTE turned off. It certainly helps if they have had two Sprint LTE devices side by side and couldn't get service on the offending device. It just takes the store asking the right questions to discern if there really is a device problem.

It does have to be verified in store to warrant a replacement (i.e. failing a signal test).

Except he's not talking about lack of coverage, but the phone not getting lte signal in an area that IS covered with lte (e.g. due to a faulty phone).

According to Sensorly there's LTE coverage. Remember Sensorly is not official coverage.

  5. As David pointed out above, you misunderstood the post. Obviously lack of coverage would not be an issue for warranty replacement. But if your device is defective and will not connect to LTE that is live, that would be cause for warranty replacement.

But there is LTE coverage. If you are in a coverage area, which do exist, but you phone doesn't connect to it, then I do think that would warrant a replacement.

Yes if the LTE isn't working the phone completely it would be replaced but currently, there isn't a Sprint Repair store that has LTE connectivity over it in MN. They would not be able to confirm the issue.

  6. I would think that lack of LTE connectivity would be a warranty replacement.

Its not. Just like all those that bought EVO's with WiMax, and never got WiMax coverage. You should read your terms of service.

I've noticed since getting LTE signal will do the funniest things. Driving up 694 through Brooklyn Center, i'll drive down a hill and lose 4g and a mile later and pop up and pick up the tower again.

Its just like 3G and any other wireless network. You can lose connection when you go into valleys.

This could be a dumb question... is there ANY way that a phone can show 4G near the signal bars, but not ACTUALLY be in LTE coverage... I swear it seems like my phone plays tricks on me and flashes 4G in Maple Grove in areas that don't have coverage...

    Or am I nuts...

By the way, I mapped the new little blip in Sensorly at Weaver Lake Rd and I-94 today during one of these "moments."

There's an active LTE tower in the Corcoran area (2 actually), so you could be getting 4G LTE from there.

Also, I like how many of you get upset when told false information from a rep. Rep's go on info that's been passed to them from others within Sprint. Reps are generally told not to tell customers about internal information. BTW, WiMax was suppose to expand into the St. Cloud area. Its not the Sprint reps fault it didn't happen.

  7. The Sensorly issues is Apple not allowing access to the needed information. So unless Apple changes, Sensorly won't be able to collect information on iPhones any time soon.

As far as which towers are first, there is no plan in regards to population or strategic locations. Sprint is doing whichever tower is ready first. This means whichever tower has the planning complete, the proper permits, backhaul in place, etc. If they waited until towers were ready for a strategic deployment, we would still be waiting for the first markets to start. So while the order doesn't really make sense, it means bringing LTE to the area sooner, even if it's not in the way that people would like.

There's a tower in the middle of Wisconsin that has LTE and its around nothing. Completed tower from what I understand.
