does anyone have access in to the Sprint ticket system. Apparently the tower closest to me is Broken and there is a ticket open for it

Now I am getting a "Your call cannot Be completed at this time -- Error 12" Something is going wonky

Just got off the phone with Sprint. they are working on towers in my area and that is the cause for the issue.

Progress. sometimes hurts

well Signal quality just went belly up where I live. before this week I was getting 4G and good signal on voice. now it is dismal. there are sometimes where I show no signal at all. I roam more often than not now at home.

 

I connect to 3 different towers, Wilkinson, Emporia, and I70 between Knightstown and Greenfield at the rest stop. Also the tower at wilkinson says that it is 4G in the interactive maps and it most definitely is not. I drove through Wilkinson eariler in the week and even rebooted my phone to try to get 4g signal and nothing. Strong 3g but No 4G. the only 4G tower I connect to is the I70 Tower.

 

I live on the Madison, Henry, Hancock county lines. right where they all intersect.

 

Any Ideas?

Here is a pic from google maps of the old rack and heres the new with them working on it..Also, the area looks WAY different as they have tore everything down and building an immediate care center right there.

That is why I dont use Sprint insurance. I use Best Buy Insurance. No questions asked they just replace the phone. bumper to bumper. it is also cheaper than the sprint insurance. and No deductable

I very much heavily use my phone, not one scratch at this point. I am really not that careful with it. I have dropped it from a standing positon on to concrete, i have done construction with it in my pocket. I dont use any case and I dont use any screen protector. I have bumped into the corner of endtables and it hit directly on the phone. zero damage. now just watch karma will bite me in the a$$ and it will break tonight

Level 3 is taking forever for me to get out of. there are not many portals around me so I have to make due. Considering letting my portals expire so I can recreate them for the AP

I really wish level 3 stuff would drop more often now that I am level 3. It is almost painful. I have several links I could make if I just could get some more level 3 resonators. I get a boatload of level 3 Bursters but no level 3 Resonators

This is great to know. I can't stand losing signal on my way to work every day (and I am in a very urban area on a major street). For anyone looking - I've seen a few pop up on eBay new or near new for about 350 no contract. I snagged one up. I was going to do the Nexus 4 but got burned pretty hard on the preorder, twice, so I went this route.

Went down to my closest Tower which happens to be in Wilkinson. Took a couple pictures of IN03UB104. Sorry for the bad quality, forgot to bring my real camera and had to use my Phone from a distance. Looks like this has NV but it is not serving LTE yet. The towers north of this have LTE and the ones south have LTE. This one possibly "In Progress?"

I know it sounds silly but you really need to set aside an afternoon and just keep hacking. Plan to spend at least 30 minutes at a portal. Hack it until the cool down period is like > 5 minutes then just move on to the next portal. I spent a few hours one day and I currently have 100's of resonators/shields/portal keys in my inventory.

do higher level portals give better "loot"?

I got my invite on like day 2. I was having a blast with it up until recently. My "teammates" have made leveling up the primary goal with no regard to anyone else involved. The BEST advice I can give anyone playing or waiting to play is to organize your local group quickly. Working for weeks to level up portals only to have them rendered useless by another players field SUCKS. Start a collaborative Google map, work together, plan your fields to maximize coverage.

My main issue is that where I am at there are very few portals around. so Leveling up so I can get a field initiated has been a pain. I am level 2 now and it will take me a good while to get to level 3 due to lack of portals around. I made my first "link" today only because I was level 2 and put some resonators so It would actually reach.

The Stock Jelly Bean update is to be out before years end. LG will then send it to sprint to put their final touches on it before it comes OTA

Looks like you found some NV equipment there! Notice the rather large, rounded panel, with the RRUs mounted behind/beside it. Sure looks like Sprint NV equipment to me! Probably not finished up, but I would expect you will see improvements to the network soon, and LTE shortly after that.

a big thanks from me too, I have 2 towers around me yet to go live with LTE and I needed a visual reference on what to look for on the tower to get an idea of progress.

I am about 4 miles north of shirley. if you look on sensorly look for 4 boxes and I am on the top side of those boxes. As the crow flies, google earth tells me it is 10.66 miles at a heading of 38.43 degrees from the tower to my house

At this point I can pretty much confirm the Sole tower in Wilkinson Indiana is Lit up with LTE. It is the only tower I connect to at home and I get LTE in just north of Shirley Indiana. I have been mapping like crazy on Sensorly in that area and will continue to do so. I will Map in and around the tower this evening

I retract my prior statements. it does look like I am getting my Sweet Sweet LTE from the I70 Tower. I mapped from that tower to my home and did not drop 4g the entire time. that I70 tower is a large Boomer so it could possibly in fact reach me about 13 miles away. it is all farmland out there so there is Very little interference between me and that tower. Now i just need to sit back and wait for the 3 other towers near me to light up with LTE for better speeds.

That i70 tower when about 100 yards away I was getting 30 meg down and 10 meg up. I got 9mb down and 5mb up at my home this morning.
