  1. Has anyone noticed LTE speeds becoming a little sluggish in the DC area (I assume its because more and more people are starting to migrate over or use LTE) but I've been consistantly getting aroung 4 mbps down and 1.7 mbps up two months ago it was nothing to get a consistant 10 down 10 up.

  2. Will they ever leave on the NV tower on cause it is much faster it is slow on day time?.And do you know if rockville gaithesberg and bethesda ever get LTE soon?

There's a LTE tower that was transmitting in Rockville not sure if they turned it off and Bethesda is in the "Coming Months" plan so it all depends on how you choose to define soon.

  3. I know the DMV area is in the "pre-launch" phase but does anyone know if Sprint will increase the signal range of the towers over time because it seems as of right know that most towers in heavily populated areas are barley sending LTE signals a mile out.

P.S. this is one of the times having a iPhone sucks because of iOS compatibility issues with sensorly.

  4. This morning on my way into work (DC Capitol Hill/Navy Yard) I map'd my trip and added some more purple to the map. I picked up LTE from Ritchie Marlboro Rd. alll the way down to Andrews AFB on 495 before the signal dropped. I ran a speed test in that area and got 16 Mbs down and 6Mbs up. Now just hoping they turn on the other tower by me in Largo so I can get LTE at home and then the one down here at Navy Yard by Nationals Stadium.

Same here didn't know Sprint had so many towers in one community I knew of 2 but by the looks of things it must be 6 now.

  5. Was at the Verizon Center last night for the Wizards/Heat game didn't get any signal for 2 hours until I hit New York Ave is this area a dead spot for Sprint service or is it possible that Verizon could be blocking Sprints signal because I never had this issue at other venues before.

  6. I get much better 3G speeds average .87 down .80 up in the Largo/Landover MD area along route 202 picked up a LTE signal in Seat Pleasnt MD by the recreational center on Saturday not sure if that was coming from one of the towers transmitting LTE on Benning Rd in DC but it's progress I guess.

  7. I'm not expecting to see a LTE signal where I live in Largo, MD until April 2013 even though I briefly had one about three weeks ago. Not to be funny but a lot of sprint users hope for the best and expect the best, my expectations are expect the worse until this vision is completed. Is Restons LTE up I know someone was told by Black Friday.

  8. As of Thursday AM according to sensorly they have 2 towers broadcasting LTE in DC. Who knows how many more towers are ready to go. It is mid November. Thanksgiving is around the corner. XMAS, Then cold dangerous tower weather. Prove me wrong Sprint.

Agreed I thought that a lot of towers were already upgraded and it would be a simple software patch to allow access but now it seems that towers are being "turned on" as the manual work is completed.

  9. I work in Annapolis Junction very close to laurel there are two towers that I pass one is a sprint tower definitely at the Fort Meade exit and the other not sure about that sits across the Shell gas station from NSA either way the past 2 weeks there have been what looks to be contractors bringing equipment in the brown storage looking containers so I'm hopefull right now.

  10. My mother (we keep as family plan as it greatly lowers your per a line cost), called Sprint today and got transferred to some "special" department. Mostly she was complaining about how she still hasn't received non-roaming service back to her house since Sandy, but she also mentioned to them my complaints about non-working data in L'Enfant DC. Surprisingly the representative actually agreed with her and said that data should/would not be be working in DC due to pending upgrades. She said that the data should begin working on 11/11. LTE launch maybe? I'm a bit skeptical as she also told me they told her a very short timeline after the July Storm, though it took them a few weeks to get back to full service.

They did credit us $40 for the service issues, and scheduled a followup call, that was nice of them.

Sprint has been doing alot of LTE market launches on Sundays so 11/11 would fit that trend I received a brief LTE signal where I live but havent been able to recieve it again.

I was on U Street last night for the election.. and LTE lit up on my iPhone 5 for the first time last night.. Not sure if it was in testing or if its officially released, but I never dropped connection in that area last night.

Those speeds look very suspect but I supposed it's because the tower was in "testing mode".
