  1. It's possible they're not, I don't have a WiMax device to test with. They're at every location that's a green dot on the map. I'm not sure where else they could put the panels at these locations since there aren't any other structures. I assumed they didn't convert them to LTE because they were different from the other Clear sites somehow and couldn't support it.

Actually, looking around other areas that have green dots, some have panels on almost every pole. Could it be a DAS style setup?

What's weird is that Clear deployed so densely in these mostly residential parts of SF, but sparsely in areas like downtown. I suppose it was built out as part of their home broadband plans? The density of the sites in these areas also leads me to suspect that they aren't normal builds.

    They are definitely small cells.

  2. "Our second focus area for the network is a continued build out of LTE on the 800MHz band.  We have 800MHz LTE on air across more than 60% of our LTE footprint and we are focused on completing the other 40% by the end of this year when rebanding is complete."

Its sometimes hard for me to hear through Marcelo's accent but I'm pretty sure he said "completing the other 40% by the end of the year WHERE rebanding is complete."

  3. I knew there was a DAS in AT&T park! It's mapped on the network.sprint.com maps, but not on the sponsor maps. The signal from it goes out to neighboring King St. Whenever there's a game or a concert though it seems that the neighboring macro cells are hit hard anyway.

I'm not sure if its operational yet.  All 3 games I've been to this year, the service has been atrocious, at least for data.  I've had to connect to wifi just to browse the web.

  4. Don't see any DAS in the stadium on our map.  Maybe Sprint was too busy with the upgrades to participate in the DAS?

It may not be in the map, but they've been announced as being part of the neutral hosted DAS at Levi's.  It also seems like Sprint has been working on joining the existing DAS setups at AT&T Park and Oakland Coliseum but I haven't seen anything about them trying to join the one at Oracle Arena.
