  1. Looking at the tower maps and reading how these towers really only travel about 1-1.5 miles I aM up sh*t creek. I live right between two towers about a mile in either direction and work about 1 mile away from another lte tower. My biggest complaint is that the 3g still teeders between being 2mbps down and .01 mbps down on daily basis everywhere I go. It is never consistent. And when I drive by a known lte tower my phone (HTC one) sometimes connects sometimes not. Sometimes right away sometimes never. I do have 1x800 all the time for voice now from like 10 miles away. Really hope some of this will get better when things are "complete". I'll settle for 2mbps 3g. That's more than enough for Netflix and Google music streaming. I'm in Petaluma and rohnert park ca btw.

  2. according to sprint network site at my work location in 5935 Labath, Ave Rohnert Park, ca there are two towers "near" me about 1-2 miles away. My voice is connected to a 1x800 site like 10 miles away but i appear to be equidistance from the 3g/lte towers. These are the only close towers to me an I guess I am sol if these only throw a signal about a 1 mile away. If these LTE sites were still a work in progress is it plausible that the signal would travel further when the sites NV upgrade is done?

  3. I don't understand why I can connect to my LTE towers on some days and not on others, I just wish sprint would let me know if they are still working on my area. All week i have been connecting to 1x800 and today it was 1xrtt. Same route, same towers everyday. My service is so inconsistant, it's way better than it has been in the past but still can go from 37mbps to .1 within a few blocks.

  4. (still new to this stuff go easy on me)

I live in an area that has been having NV LTE upgrades since december...Petaluma, CA. Everywhere I go i am connected to cdma 800 sites for voice (i have signalcheck pro) and all of my towers seem to be eHRPD. Sometimes I connect to LTE, sometimes I do not. I have a tower about 1 mile away from my work which is the next town over and can connect frequently but the signal seems poor and drops to 3G when I am past -125dBm. Should my signal strength be so low for the tower only being 1 mile away? I have called sprint and sometimes they tell me that all work has been done for my area other times they say things are still being upgraded and not til the end of the year will I see consistent strength and speeds. I usually see 5-8mbps unless I am really close then it's upper 20's. I am using an HTC ONE by the way and the wife has an iphone 5 which seems to grab the LTE signal way earlier and longer when I am in fringe areas. So is this range normal for LTE towers, seems kind of weak to me, i mean the cdma 800 tower I am connected to is like 10 miles away with a -95dBm and almost full bars.

  5. i swear i am not dumb, this is just a touch confusing. My perfect scenario would be buying the phone from amazon, selling my EVO 4G LTE to gazelle and then sending in my proof of purchase of the ONE along with my OG EVO 4G to receive $100. If that is what HTC is doing then great. As long as the LTE antenna is better on the ONE than the EVO 4G LTE.

  6. so i'm confused will htc take my old evo 4G as a trade in for $100? even if the tool says it's worth $0. I would easily sell my 4G LTE for $112 to gazelle and buy the ONE for basically free....if the antenna was better than my 4G LTE. I have LTE in my area and sometimes good connection, gf has great LTE with her iphone 5 on sprint. Also I bought my 4G LTE on amazon last june and somehow it never extended my contract so I am due for an upgrade, gf already did it with her 4G LTE to iphone 5. I sure hope the antenna is better and the battery is comparable. Also just dreaming here but it would be nice if the HTC logo was really a capacitive button that someone could enable later.

  7. In Petaluma, Ca if I am close to the tower which is right by the highway I can get 31 down and 14 up. By my house maybe a mile or two down the road I get 3-4 down and 3 up. When I am closer to the tower my phone (EVO 4G LTE) it will auto connect. If I am at my house I have to cycle airplane mode to get it to connect and the second I turn my screen off it drops back to 3G. I hope sprint updates my phone and gives us the weaker 4G signal over the stronger 3G signal since my 3G speeds are terrible inside my home (about .3 mbps down)
